I really loved to read your stories, there are so very very few about the work of art that is COTS.

I just finished reading your whole trilogy of COTS stories (Evolution/Furlough/Schrodinger's Cat) and I absolutely loved them all.

I'm glad to see you're still writing in the COTS universe and I really hope there's more to come!

Regarding the postscript: It seems to me you haven't diverged too far from the main cannon. The end of Furlough had the Hania federation agreeing to join the Abh empire as a protectorate. In the main canon the Hania federation offered to join the Abh, but that later turned out to be a ruse to allow them to attack Lakfakalle. Seems "close enough" for me!

Had me at the first part, but boy am I glad to see some good old Jinto/Lafiel banter yet again. Still got their voices down pat. I still think you can easily realign yourself back to canon as Hania isn't exactly a monolith, hell you just gave yourself an out with a cat somehow being the catalyst for the mimic project. Even if they're still allies with the Abh, the Triple Alliance can probably still launch their counteroffensive the same way and still get us back to canon path. After all the Abh did a pretty poor job defending Lakfakalle and more or less left the gates wide open.

Anyway just good to see you writing again for COTS. Don't even care about the plot, just want to see more Jinto and Lafiel. Didn't help that the latest volume didn't really scratch the itch all that much.
