![]() ![]() ![]() A shame Spinner and Magne aren't Villains. Solid roster at least. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Be terrified Shadow. |
![]() ![]() ![]() As Dabi said... Reap what you sought, Todoroki Enji! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Sometimes, a villain Can be heroic. Izuku, believe me, being a villain is just a title, it doesn't mean you have to be a bad person. |
![]() ![]() ![]() reread the whole thing from the first part... and I can't wait for the fourth part |
![]() ![]() ![]() And with that I’ve finally caught up with the full story! Honestly I’m just amazed with the incredible amount of payoff to the set up there was before, not to mention the story continues. With this being the third of the series (and so far the one with the biggest bulk), I’m pleased with the amount of twists and turns there are to this story. Izuku taking center stage over the others while also implementing new perspectives was a little tough to handle but I’m still pleased with how much Izuku grows in these 94 chapters OCs are nicely done and well placed and while I do have a problem with characters having to review and retell info that I already know, the new perspectives and developments are well worth the nitpick. Especially with Bokusen, Tanjiro and Niishita. Easily the most unique and influential one-off characters (Since they’ve all fulfilled their purpose in the story) I will say here and now that I lost a LOT of sleep reading chapters 34-51 (Season 2 canonical ending), the sudden turning point of the story and another bout of sleep was lost to chapters 55-62 (What I’ll call ‘Forced hand’ arc). And wanting to read more I downed the rest in one day. While the story did slow down a lot after those two points, wanting to establish, set up and confirm a few things, the paced picked up at around chapters 72-94 (What I’ll just call Ochako endangerment arc) As for the arcs themselves, the little bits and pieces that lead to the Ochako’s expulsion were devastatingly effective, Himko recognizing her, someone hearing about it, reporting it and then the order happening for cheap publicity makes the quirk taking part much more cathartic. Tomura getting killed off was such a left turn but in hindsight it should’ve been expected (I’m noticing a trend with this as it also happened in your other Izuku Villain fic). Izuku taking over the crew and learning more practical lessons in villainy with his crew is such an oddly wholesome sight, especially as Compress encourages him further. Such nice dynamics. The final two arcs also came out of left field so hard with Izuku’s choice to reveal himself and Ochako getting a home invasion that I genuinely was left guessing for the next move There was a low point between arcs as information was established and re-established between characters, with the biggest low being Bakugo taking the spotlight for chapter 77. You’ve simply made him a non-character at this point that when he took up a whole chapter I couldn’t care less…until I got to chapter 80 as Nezu adressed both Ochako and Bakugos’ beatings but felt like my time was wasted when I realized he thought more about Bakugo (Guy with 0 direct relationship to the main character) than Ochako (One of the most important characters to the story). Not a deal breaker but it was a bit of a tasteless switch up Otherwise, great story, great characters, fantastic writting and generally a great series to dedicate 2 weeks of free time. Izuku confronting All Might made me shudder with nerves each time! Can’t wait to see you again! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is is so well written. I can't wait for the next one |
![]() ![]() ![]() Alright, finally caught up! There were lots of twists and turns I didn't expect, majorly Tomura's death and how rapidly Izuku changed after (and slightly before) it, but that means the story isn't as predictable as I had expected. What I expect of "Dragon", well, I have a strong feeling it'll start with Yakuni rescue arc, since Izuku needs his copies and all. And that's gonna be epic; this one had way too little Yakuni... can't wait for Izuku to properly team up with his OWN crazy scientist and introduce him to the team. What'll happen with Todoroki(s) should be interesting as well, and I'm looking forward to seeing who All Might's gonna pick to be the successor. Mirio seems like a too obvious choice, but aside from that, I have no idea. |
![]() ![]() ![]() this one is definitely my favorite of the series cant wait for book 4 |
![]() ![]() ![]() O_o That one I wasn't expecting! Well, now it's bye bye to AFO's resurrection plan, I guess. And here I kept thinking that Izuku and Tomura would eventually form a bond and that Izuku might actually turn against AFO to save Tomura. Guess I was wrong. Very wrong. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I always have been thinking that UA's more like a vocational school than a high school... the hero students going straight to work after graduation backs that up as well. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great story. I'm looking forward to what comes next. I think All Might was right to retire at this point. He had Izuku but he managed to lose him. All because of his broken body. It is pretty hilarious that he believes AFO has two kids fighting for his ideals and that Izuku joined Tomura's crew. That'll be another gut punch once All Might learns of Tomura's fate. Another downer is that Team OFA lost Torino. He'd have been good to have on their side. But they keep Nighteye in this timeline, who is much more useful. Well, maybe. He could end up getting murdered. The Overhaul arc hasn't happened yet. What's your writing practice like? Do you have a set quota you write every day? Do you write every day, or on certain days? Do you have any interest in a behind the scenes where you explain what all goes into creating big stories like these? |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is amazing! I cant wait for the next book! When will it be out? |
