So much drama. Way too much to recount here, but all I can say is, thank you, thank you, thank you, you are the bomb!
If I'd a guess, that fire was no accident. Sounds like her x. Also, before this all ends, can we please find someone for our courageous and steller Gen. Henry? What a guy.
I knew this was gonna be a fantastic story. Wouldn't wanna miss it for the world. Smiling.

Thank the dear Lord they are all safe! I could just picture Lord Neston's rotten body being the only casualty of the fire, with a torch in his hand! You know that this fire wasn't just a coincidence! No way!
What a fabulous two chapters. The trial and then the fire. And I won't forget the sweet voice crying for her Papa. That was perfect.
But, now what happens to Henry? He, basically, has nothing. That's sad.

Oh I wanted to cry through these two chapters. So beautiful and heart wrenching.

Ok, I just finished "War and Peace", lol. Whew, I could not sleep until I finished this one. Wow wee! What a whopper. It was sorrowful, thrilling, painful, soulful, fascinating and finally hopeful. Next chapter should be the whole ball of wax. Clapping.

WOW!...Just Wow! What a rollercoaster!

The way you brought out every feelings, every thoughts, every remnants of memories , EVERYTHING was tremendously wonderfully done!.. I want to go on n on about how you managed to capture every nuances of feelings in almost all the lines or words you wrote. I read, reread , again and again so many lines in these two chapters just to feel the depth of so many prevailing feelings that your words brought out... everything from anger, regrets, sadness... hauntingly so... Big relief, happiness, anxiety.. so many feelings ..

From Elizabeth's sad, heartbreaking but strong testimony, Neston's anger, Russel's cleverness, Jane's calmness but so much sadness to Darcy's regrets over his failures, his devotion, Henry's bravery, stoicism and his hidden feelings, the pantomime, the accusations from people outside n inside the court, the procedural correctness of the trial itself... everything is so overwhelmingly Good.. KUDOS, FANTASTIC!

What a story! What a chapter! Will wethey ever know the cause of the fire? Accident (very common) or arson? Possible if Lord Neston wanted revenge…

Wow what awesome chapters. Great scenarios with the trial and fire. I thought maybe Little Elizabeth was kidnapped at first. Now I am wondering if someone set the fire. Thanks for sharing your story.

In a lot of stories, the happy ending music would start playing. But we have hints of more picadilloes to come.

Do fires start themselves? I suspect some skullduggery.

What an emotional chapter. So happy that the verdict was”Not Guilty” - although I was sure it would be. The fire was a terrible happening, in the back of my mind I fear someone set it deliberately- and you know who that is, but I won’t name names. (Lord Neston you are a horrible, horrible man.)
