Well William is back and just in time. While he said all the wrong things, I’m glad he is back in full force everyone will need his presence; intelligence and bearing in the days ahead. Now the total man will be at the hearing and that can only be good for them

Throughout this story, I keep thinking something more must have happened to cause her to remarry. It sounded like there was some kind of scandal. Becoming a widow in and of itself should not have caused the negativity of the ton people keep eluding to. ... Guess we'll find out .

I have thought all along that Darcy wasn’t getting an explanation as to why and how Elisabeth got married again. What role HIS family played in arranging it. Have the Earl or He tu explained it to him or apologised to him?
But yesthe comparison with Hunsford is realistic and à propos. How did you manage to pull this off! And how did you manage to match the insult from canon? That phrase was just perfect! I am loving this story however hard it is for ODC lover. And this chapter just makes it even stronger!

I am very happy Darcy’s memory has returned, I do not judge him for his reaction and words to Elizabeth. It must be overwhelming to go thru a memory loss experience. Plus, it brings more drama to this story, which I love. I’m guessing it will be a favorable ending, but do not want to speculate how it comes. Exciting!

Queen Georgiana. Queen Elizabeth. Ugh Darcy you jealous fool, you were dead and your wife was raped. So in that context you suck Darcy. I do believe that Darcy wouldn't have even considered remarrying, or even getting a lover, if Elizabeth died (I actually believe that Elizabeth wouldn't either, but that's a different conversation) but he has the benefit of being a man.

Dumbass Darcy is due to grovel. Surely he MUST have thought about the possibility of having a wife or fiancée or FAMILY? Hopefully the memory-loss-fisherman actually didn't entertain thoughts about going after a barmaid because Elizabeth seems particularly jealous (unreasonably jealous really tbh but also kind of understandable) and if he was able to reassure her that he wasn't attracted to Jenny I bet his groveling would go fairly smooth. I mean it took actual Darcy 27 years to find a woman (Elizabeth) more than tolerable, and from the way he told her about Jenny it seemed like SHE was flirting with HIM and his friends were encouraging it while he was indifferent and not some regench hoe. Also I just hate the other man/woman trope lmao. Really though I can see where the arguments come from on both sides. Darcy is jealous enough that he doesn't want Elizabeth to remarry even after he dies, man is a one and only type, and Elizabeth is hurt and angry because dumbass Darcy is a dumbass with his words.

Oh my Word! What an exciting story!

This update made me realize I do prefer the new Will T_T feels like I’m betraying Darcy! It really goes to show how our upbringing and the values instilled in us shift how we behave and process thoughts to make decisions. I know it’s going to take some true development in the marriage for things to repair, and even then, it will change in a good way but won’t go back to the way it was before. I really like how realistic you portray marriage, great writing!

Whew hoo! What a chapter. I'm so glad he finally remembered. At long last. All along I was hoping, an additional bump on the head was all that was needed.
However, his awful words spoken to Lz was cringe worthy. Very upsetting and, down right cruel. If the trial goes as I hope and pray it will, I hope William find her worthless stand-in husband, and beats the crap outta his carcass. Very well done. Soo looking forward for more. Cheers.

Heartbreaking, just heartbreaking. I had, initially, every confidence that all would be fine. However, the closer the trial gets, the more my doubt kicks in.
I'm so glad D acknowledged his love for her. She still holds him in her heart, as the only man she ever loved, and still does I'm sure. Falling in love with her once again, just proves how much they were meant for each other. Cheers.

I can sympathize with Kitty, now all grown up, and past her silly passion, for all things Lydia. Her attraction to the col. may yet bear fruit. Only time will tell, but being in his co. is a very good start. Cheers.
