Love this story so much.

Liked the story for the most part, but hated the ending. It feels totally out of character that Mikey would just ditch his family for this new dimension that he's only been in for a little while, because the Mikey from the 2012 would not do that. Yes, he left them for the mutant frogs in season 3, but he did eventually come back to them because he loved them, and they loved him. Not to mention, it's incredibly selfish of him since he plays a pretty important role in his family as the guy who smiles and cheers everyone up and the guy who helps cook breakfast, and he just leaves them at the drop of a hat, which is only made worse by you trying to vindicate this action, saying that it's a good thing that he decided to leave his family behind. It also makes the whole thing of the 2012 Turtles fighting in the tournament to get their Mikey back feel completely pointless since they basically won but still didn't get him back, so it just feels cheap. Like, what was the point of them fighting to get their Mikey back if in the end he doesn't come back? It just feels super forced.

Here's how I would've ended this story: I would've had it so that the 2012 Turtles reconcile with their Mikey and also give him the choice of whether he wants to stay or come back with them. Mikey thinks about it, feeling conflicted on what he should do, but eventually decides to go back with his family as he realizes that he belongs with them and that they need him as much as he needs them. He says a nice goodbye to the Rise Turtles before he goes back to his own dimension with his real brothers, ending the story without it feeling so forced.

But that's just my opinion. I, for one, am not a big fan of the whole "Rise Turtles adopt 2012 Mikey" au, in fact, I hate those kinds of stories with a burning passion. But still, at least you had the decency to portray the 2012 characters correctly and not have them be wildly out of character like SOME other stories.

So I'm gonna have to give this story a 4/10.
