This is amazingly written as usual, just as evocative as everything else you write. But DAMN, poor Sakura just canNOT catch a break in the Forest of Death in your fics LOL. Not intended as a criticism at all, just noticed an…unfortunate pattern lmao.
This is wonderfully horrifying, and I definitely expected the “horror” aspect to come from the summons itself (and ya know, the whole “threatening to eat Ino if she disappoints him” thing) and not from the boldness the summons gave Ino, and as usual, you do such a great job of subverting the reader’s expectations. Not sure if you were planning to continue this now that Halloween has already passed, and honestly this is already an ominous yet satisfying ending, but I look forward to seeing what you come up with next if you do decide to continue this! :)

like of all the clans the Ino-Shika-Cho alliance is the one that probably benefited from the Village system the most, in comparison to the Senju and Uchiha. not as much combat to the death able to make more secrets for the future fun time.

course also the senju were not thought up yet at beginning of series so hey.

interesting ambition and issues with it, like Shikamaru has the heir to a warriror clan issue aspect as well as tad resentment of doing stuff and ahhh.

liked Asuma trying for a lesson but it blowing up in her face cause Ino JUDGES them so harshly which is not a completely fair assessment, when it came to a fight I imagine shes still in the same league as the guys.

so it was a good get your stuff into gear aspect for the boys but it just made Inos belief and issues with the team even WORSE.

like hell her judgement on KIBA who via his clan SHOULD be one of the most physicially adept memebers of her class... well.
