Sunny JS has it right. The story, writing, and everything that isn’t the MC is great. And I’m glad Tristan isn’t some happy-go-lucky beacon of optimism and hope, but he’s such an emotional baby. Honestly, half of his problems would just solve themselves if he wasn’t such a edgy loser. Dude was absolutely the whiny brat that took his toys and left the moment he didn’t get his way, and just never grew out of it. I’m fully convinced that his utter lack of friends outside of forced acquaintances is entirely his fault. I’m definitely not dropping the story or anything, it’s still good imo, but it’d be so much better if the MC actually grew at all in his life/the story.

What’s changed about Tristan as a person after over 1 year in the story, becoming both the tri wizard and duelling circuit champion, fighting the musketeers, infiltrating the french ministry, etc.? He’s done so much and yet hasn’t grown in the slightest. He was arrogant, rash, and unlikable at the start and he’s arrogant, rash, unlikable, and (reasonably) paranoid now.

Guess the fourth musketeer is Neville longbottom. He was erased from the timeline and is good at herbology.
It will be funny if it was fleur or Victoire Weasley who helped thr musketeers travel back in time.

Good chapter! I liked Tristan at first but the guy is getting out of control! How long till he becomes the monster he's trying to kill off? After him doing this to Fawkes has me not liking him very much now, you don't screw over Fawkes like that! Hope Dumbles finds out and doesn't offer any more help, surely that fiendfyre will brake out from the marble coffin and Fawkes can eventually be reborn again. Tristan is turning into A right evil little shit, violating A grave, destroying Dumbles corpse, mutilating competitors in dueling competitions he's getting to the point he's going to be recognized as A dark lord needing to be stopped. Great fanfic update soon!
