hmm. hermione is a young teenager and acts like it. that isn't a bad thing, but the adults really should be figuring out a proper rationing plan. the wands are absurdly powerful, vital and expensive things.

You've never lived through a category 5 hurricane such as Camille that struck the northwest coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Most of the area was out of power for 3 to 4 weeks. I took a 55 gal. drum of gas and a portable gas generator along with a dozen volunteers from our church and spent a week in the Gulf Port area helping with the clean-up. Crime was practically non-existent. Servicers, volunteers, working class, office workers, rich, and poor worked side by side the six straight days practically nonstop while I was there. My generator ran continuously for the six days burning through the 55 gals. in 3 days. We had to make a 200-mile round trip to get the drum refilled at a refinery that donated the gas for the volunteers. People CAN WORK TOGETHER when the need is clear and competent people are in charge. JKR's people in charge of her world do seem to be VERY incompetent.

Yes! I have long thought, as I read fanfic, that the dragon reserves must be in fact ranches rather than endangered species sanctuaries which I feel is what is implied by ‘reserve’ in canon. Because- too much mention of dragon-hide boots and armour! What I’d like to know is how sentient are your dragons?

Love your stories and this is a great twist on Unintended Consequences. Hermione is obnoxious and self righteous at points in this that drives me crazy but is honestly so true to how her canon character would be in this situation! Preference the academics for wands, refuse to recognize business or financial realities….Unintended Consequences Hermione seemed a lot more mature. I am a huge Harmony fan but in this one I want to tell Harry to run for it! Thanks for the great stories and all the hard work that goes into them!

*Where did the wands referred to by one of the Weres in an early chapter come from? They're planning a raid and one says, "... we have a few wands ..." - but I don't think the Wand Shop has even opened at the time.
*ABC...XYZ opens his eyes in his portrait and say, "Minister Scrimgeour ...". How does he know Rufus has replaced Fudge?
** 'Brits' is seen as (at best) mildly offensive by many British people.
