| michael68 chapter 4 . 12/8/2022 Many fanfics say anti-lightning wards disrupt electricity at Hogwarts, otherwise there'd be a massive anti-tech zone around Diagon Alley, the Ministry of Magic HQ, Saint Mungo hospital, etc. In real life, castles and churches were vulnerable to lightning strikes before lightning rods were invented, damaging more historical sites than any other natural disaster. For comparison, at Walt Disney World, Cinderella's Castle gets struck 5-6 times a year. |
