I do like this, there is some great potential here for a fun story.

I'll be honest, I'm a game of thrones fan for Jon Snow, not only is he my favorite character in GOT, he's my favorite from fantasy fics. So when we have these stories way back in time I get worried we won't get Jon Snow or any of the other Stark children. So I will keep reading because this is really good, but I might have complaints later.

Another chapter of nothing, much like that mini training segment with Ned. I know SB is fond of crossover characters being surrogate parents or big brother or the like to canon characters which probably stems from some childhood trauma, but it's quite jarring and gets in the way of the actual plot of the story. What rumours did other northern lords hear? Did Rickard ruffle some feathers by not giving them glass. I feel like if those things would ever come up, it would be in the second update in seven months.

Considering what we know of Old Ones, and seeing this followed the Childhood ending, I half expected Evette and or Cyril to say something along the lines of “I want one” the moment they met the Stark Children. Moving on loving the story so far, especially how Cyril and Evette are being treated, ironically as something not unlike an Eldritch Entity in a story from Lovecraft or an Author who helped build the genre. To Rickard and his people they are alien, and inscrutable. They bring with them strange knowledge and wisdom so beyond mere mortals even when they can parse through parts of it they can’t really use it. They have artifacts that are impossible to recreate with the technology available to normal people. While they seemingly have no malice, their mere presence and knowledge of them can potentially bring madness and destruction to these lands. And this is made funny by the fact that, so far, they haven’t done much that wouldn’t theoretically be doable by a well off Aristocratic Couple from Early Industrial Europe if they were dropped in medieval times, despite the fact they probably are Eldritch gods. It’s just a bit of irony I find funny. Liking the story so far, can’t wait to see where this goes.

I like what you've done with the story so far though things seem rather stagnant outside of the Stark's time with the Fairchilds.

I wish we would get a POV from either of the Fairchild's at some point. It's clear you're keeping them intentionally mysterious and slowly revealing things second-handedly, but It'd be nice to know more about them and understand why there here in Westeros or maybe even just a bit more about the relationship between Cyril and Evetta.

Regardless, I'm curious to see where you take the story. While their time training with the Fairchild's has been interesting so far things might get stale if things stagnate in place for too long.

This is an amazing story. Good lord I've been looking for something like this for ages. I hope you find the time and enthusiasm to continue it.

The music description was nicely done and very interesting to read. It was a very enjoyable read and I hope to see more of it in the future. The level of detail in the food provided was also a nice touch.

I kinda expected Lyanna to ask Cyril about lady Maria after seeing her, but I assume she would be conscious of Evetta to ask it in her presence. The growing bond between them is a nice thing to see, and I'm looking forward to seeing more motherly moments from the Evetta to Lyanna and Benjen like how the former would confide in Evetta about her thoughts on the betrothal for Robert once she's made aware and stuff.

I'm looking forward to the next chapter as always, I wonder if the Fairchilds would start a trend of hosting other people's children, assuming they complete the pack and get Benjen to come over at some point. (At the cost of Rickard's declining mental health XD)
