I was right Harry just straight up told Eragon his life story; a boy who is completely unable to protect his mind for no strategic purpose whatsoever, simply because hes an over emotional man child that needed a friend. No dont worry about the fate of agalasia potentially riding on my secret. I want a friend to hug me when I decide to go back to being an overemotional child. Dont care what the backstory of this version of Harry is hes far to stupid to have ever fought in a war ir have learned anything from having a hard life. Hes got all the negatives from it like being unable to control his emotions like getting angry at the word freak but he has none of the positives like strategic thinking and self reliance. I knew in the beginning when Brom managed to get his life story out of him on his first meeting that he’d be unable to keep things to himself but at least hoped he’d be smart enough to hold onto his secrets until their was some kind of situation it needed to be explained now when the twins rape Eragons mind they will not only have Eragons past but Harry’s as well. Which will make Harry priority number 1 for the black king. And all so Harry could get a mental hug from Eragon. Hate when MCs make stupid decisions

If this is going to work Harry needs to drop his stupid Disney G rated moral compass. Hes a war vet yet he acts like a toddler. Refusing to delve into peoples minds to decern their intent is stupid as hell; i imagin he will get a little more morally grey as the story progresses and thats understandable but its stupid to keep refrencing how hard his life as been when he continues to act as if he learned nothing from it, the best part of life experience is the wisdom that comes with it. He fought a war then spent 3 years in alagasia afterwards; while not an evil land alagasia is definitely a harsher land then modern day britan. At this point he should at the very least be able to act like a grown man. Calling what Brom did perverse by using mind magic was horribly nieve and down right stupid. What would harry prefer? Maybe they can run around trust everybody blindly till he gets a knife thru his throat? That way he can die with his delicate sensibilities still in tact? Harry was supposed to have had a harsh life up until this point yet I dont see any of it in his actions at all. What you’d expect from him at this point is to at least have a bit of grit to him at the least or an corrosion of his suoer G rated moral compass to something a bit grayer by this point. He should be alot less trusting and more world warry. After his easy and spectacularly pathetic defeat to brom in the beginning you’d think he’d have spent the next three years shoring up his weaknesses to at the very least not have to play the part of a baby back bitch next time someone tries to rape his mind but he seemed to feel it was more important to accomplish nothing and play house with Katrina. Not saying he should be some world beater at this point but he should at least be able to defend himself physically and mentally. He had three years and accomplished nothing, hes as vulnerable now as he was the day he arrived in alagasia. I’m aware he didnt invision himself going to war for the majority of that three years but life experience would have told him to prepare himself for the worst at least. Its like he learned nothing from living his own life. The only good thing about a rough childhood is that you grow up fast; yet Harry still clung to his nieve way of thinking. He better hope for some dues ex machina unfair power up cause if left to his own devices he will die quickly and stupidly drowned in his own underwhelming prowess and nieve childish sense of right and wrong. In other words without a metric ton of plot armor this version of Harry is fucked cause unlike Voldemort Galabatorax wont kill himself with his own spell while Harry sticks to disarming people and stunning bad guys

This is always such an interesting premis and i’ve always enjoyed the thought of it. Do wish you’d have written Harry a bit more like the world warry war vet he is though. The fact that Brom already has his whole life story is a bit disconcerting. You’d think by now Harry would have learned the value of a secret. Things only stay secret if you dont tell anyone. Lastly i do wish you’d have just gave Harry Saphira and left Eragon as a farm boy in Carvelhall; dont get me wrong I really like his character in the source material but any given universe can only support 1 MC and if you are doing a crossover Harry should be that MC. I’ll keep reading from here but if harry decides to tell his whole life story to every elf, dwarf or varden member that will listen i’d be pretty disappointed, it would just show hes still a nieve child. Really hope hes worked on the mind arts over his last 3 years in Carvehall, that showing against Brom was sad and depressing. If he starts lets himself get mind raped by the Arya and the twins in their initial encounters I would write Harry off as hopeless.

I began skimming over and skipping chapters just full of memories being red like all the character cast reacts fanfics out there. I dont mean to be rude but they bore tf out of me and i never understood the whole multiple chapters of just characters reviewing the past, or whole fanfics of character reacting to themselves from a book or watching their movies, etc.
