Its an interesting story but Harry is absolutely terrible at keeping a secret. The whole letting all the mauraders know about the prophecy. This garbage confrontation with Dumbledor. The best way to keep a secret is not tell anyone and he seems like hes dieing to tell everyone. Between the mauraders on the train and dumbledor thats 5 proplr that now know what was meant to stay between the blackand potter patriarchs and Harry. If he didn’t constantly feel the need to play coy and tell people crap he could likely finish off voldimort and save everyone without half the drama. Also Andromeda is way to young. You’ve already established Nymphadora exists and since she was about 8 or so years older then cannon Harry that means she would be 3 or four years old already. Which is weird cause both her parents are only 7th years same as James and Lily

Both sides took heavy losses. A Pyrrhic Victory for Voldemort at best because he lost his top future prospect and found out he has lost multiple Horcruxes while Harry has lost a family member and innocents of Hogsmeade lay dead. This seems realistic. Harry’s preparations were not in vain though i am sure he will feel that way. Had this attack happened and no one was ready or trained it would have been absolutely one sided.

Oh no... Poor James...

There is so much potential in this story… but then chapters like this happen… they’re defending a village, that mags there are buildings and concealment, even cover against most spells and yet, for some reason, the good guys go out into the street to fight like it’s some kind of Hollywood gunfight. There are no tactics except ‘stand in the open and fling spells at the enemy’… no cooperation in taking down important/ powerful targets (somehow the bad guys get to do this, but the good guys aren’t smart enough to do so… even with momentary numerical superiority at times), and then Harry goes and informs Voldemort that he’s a time traveler… did his brain drip out his ears sometime during the fight?

I haven’t abandoned this story yet, but it’s issues like this that keep me from adding much by this author to my favorites list, the stories are, overall, pretty good, but just not great.

I do hope that Greengrass gets what’s coming to him.
