I like that this story still lives in some way, but there are many issues that need to be addressed.

The way you write vs the copied and pasted parts are jarring. When rewriting something, unless you have the exact same writing style, I recommend actually re-writing everything instead of copy pasting parts of the original text. Some of the original bits also make less sense now that the context has changed.

There are continuity issues (and it's only chapter 1!) things happen but are not explained or glossed over (Archer falling through the roof and nobody fixing it.)

I've seen so misused expressions "Threw them out of the loop" this means excluding from something while you mean "Threw them for a loop" which means confused them.

Archer acting out of character and commenting on falling through the roof. Him say "ugh, not again" makes no sense has he has been through countless timelines and would be used to being summoned is such a way, albeit by Rin and not Rias.

Overall, this fic feels like a major drop in quality compared to the original. I'll probably come down to this down the line since I might be biased from re-read A Fake Familiar since I though there was a new chapter.

Overall I'm disappointed, but then again, I've never seen an adopted fic work. They always get abandoned or the new author changes things and it doesn't work or any amount of other problems.

I am willing to bet Emiya is seeing this as a perfect chance to earn a vacation from being a counter guardian despite just being a small piece or a copy of the original. I can't wait see if this story will be better than the original.

The resuscitation of stories is a noble and honorable thing, and generally a good thing. I'm waiting for "The Sword of the Veil" to be resurrected someday.

This story is going to be a really great one I'm sure. Can't wait to see EMIYA reacting to Kiba's Sacred Gear, or his encounter with the dragon Emperors and Hero Faction as well as the Excalibur fragments.

If he wasn't a Ghost, he'd have died of a seizure from all the headaches he'd have from how DxD functions.

I noticed that you chose to make some changes to how the beginning started versus the (MUCH BETTER & more thought-out) original version.

You did better at giving a reason on why Rias got a Command Seal, but chose to change things so that Archer wouldn't be summoned at his best and basically copied how it went with Rin in FATE/STAY NIGHT.

There IS an error (no-doubt caused by getting too carried away with changes & getting distracted) caused by Archer falling through the roof like that.
There should have been more of a reaction (or at least SOME kind of reaction) when Archer pointed that out.
Also, you have the Devils re-arranging the room & putting the furnature back in place BUT forgot to write that the Devils FIRST used magic to fix the damage caused by Archer's fall before doing those things.
I also notice chat Archer is not asking any questions about the Grail.

One of my most favourite authors writing a crossover about two of my most favourite fandoms? Sign me the fuck up! I am SOOOOO looking forward to what this story entails considering how well you wrote EMIYA in your other stories.
