Botan should grind a bit before his next attempt to take on a strong or unfamiliar monster. I hope he pearned that level-sacrifice, while highly valuable in the long run, is not something that you should use before facing the unexpected. Hopefully, the next time he will face a Devil, he will be better prepared.
Nimbus seems like a possible love interest at the moment, but that could change once I learn more about her.

Both the times Typhus touched the flower made my heart skip a bit. Especially the second one. I can see why you consider him about as important to the story as Botan.
This guy is like an eagle, waiting for the right moment to dive in for the kill. I assume that his big project is an equivalent to the Holy Replica from Raphtalia's world, but it could be a red hairing.

Having a reincarnator(s?) not at odds with a hero is a nice refresh that I could only see before with Kizuna and Kyo, so that is great. It reminds me of a different franchise with a bad guy who wanted the good guy to get stronger, but I can't recall which one it was.

Anyway, I loved this chapter, and I hope you do not trust people who promise you commissioned art or a comic of your story.

I hope Botan is ready f9r a meeting with an agent of God World.
Also, I love characters named Nimbus. She is the second one I have encountered so far on this platform, and she is among my first two favorites.

Also happy that we will finally have a full human member of the party, i think she’s an aristocrat given the clues. Maybe someone important to the royal family.

As for monsters, hear me out. Bandit birds, from One Piece Alabasta. Now before you disregard it they play the victim and draw sympathy from unwitting beings and rob them of resources. Having them could be a interesting interaction between Botan and Nimbus of him being played as a animal loving fool.

It is a fun chapter, and the lore is always captivating.
I expected Botan to lose and don't judge you for it because I know that he only has one wave in his victory list and only utilizes 2 of his 4 methods. His decision-making made sense because he did not know any better and was established to have a questionable thought process at times.

Love the date even if they were never meant to be! Love the character process of, yes I asked out a girl and not taking it bad when she not interested. It could also be Botan being a little hyperfocus on getting Alder a girlfriend because the man needs more loved ones in his life and not focusing on himself.

This story is really interesting.

If the Train Hero from the Flag's world takes one of those poison knives Botan got to the Cooking Tool's world, does Clara get a useful knife, or does it lose its stats due to the transfer between worlds?

Botan should consider emptying trash cans into his weapon. I know his lack of organization tends to be his biggest weakness, and he already has so many weapon forms to unlock the equip bonuses, but there is always what to gain from another weapon form. Not to mention that his main power-up method empowers each of his weapon forms for every equip bonus he unlocks.

He should also experiment with his level sacrifice method at one point. Preferably, after a large gain of levels, like after a wave.

I hope he can handle the God World servent. Those reincarnators are dangerous.

I hope his practice with Iris will help him with his true love interest.

I don't like Botan's progression.

He never works out, even if it doesn't increase his stats (which it should), it should make him more flexible and sensible in a fight.

He rarely expirements with his flower to see how they could be used or his skills.

He also doesn't try to dedicate some time on training his magic.

It's actually a bit worse than Naofumi. And he didn't prioritize leveling at all.
