As always this is my favorite one of your stories, and I look forward to more chapters. I like how they are slowly working to limit the Maester's powers. Perhaps once they get control of the other islands in the stepstones they can dedicate one for learning purposes. That brings me to the next steps in their conquest. They are currently on Bloodstone from the looks of it, its the largest island of the stepstones, it makes sense they are colonizing that one first. The next step is to move on one of the other islands. There is not a lot of canon info on the other islands (although plenty of fanfiction options). One canon island is the Grey Gallows, it is rather infamous as a staging area for pirates. Its pretty small, but it is also in the center of the stepstone region, its also just south of bloodstone. Also depending on what source you use to look it up it also has a rather...sordid past. Taking that island would probably end a lot of the pirate raids on Bloodstone, and give the new lords of the stepstones access to the other islands. Especially the island just south of the Grey Gallows. I'm not sure what the name is, but it is the third largest island in the stepstones, good for colonization. Taking the Grey Gallows and this other island would be key to eventually taking the rest of the islands. I hope you feel better! |

Gotta say, I'm surprised that Hugh and Ulf are getting dragons, considering that Viserys was once adamant that they don't get any, period. I just hope they don't become turncloaks in the future. Please don't do a timeskip. I want to see more of the downfall regarding the Hightowers, the maesters and the Faith. I also want to see Dorne brought to its knees. The same with the Triarchy, Essos and Old Valyria. |
