It’ll be interesting to see what path Pierce actually ends up taking, especially when considering the making a living portion of things. For names, I don’t have much, but I do hope to at least to see a mention of the name Waspinator from Transformers Beast Wars…at the very least as a joke suggestion. Excellent work as always! | GoMagikarp chapter 3 . 3/15/2023 I'm not sure how I feel about the MC. A wishy washy, luke warm character isn't exactly compelling, you know? A guy who vaguely, maybe, thinks he probably will be a casual trainer, maybe, and might want to do some stuff with pokemon at some point, but not too much since he's just like a normal dude that will do normal dude stuff in some generic city... It's hard to root for the MC or feel all that engaged. It like reading about paint drying. Hopefully he's like this in order to make his character growth mean more. And not because he has the charisma and drive of wet cardboard. |

Beedrill isn't exactly a popular pokemon in fics, but oddly enough, when it comes to fics with 'weak' pokemon, Beedrill is fairly popular. Where the author is trying to subvert the trope of the MC being OP with a super special starter. So yeah, Beedrill is kind of cliche at this point in trying to *not* be cliche. If that makes sense? *cough* Plus I just don't like the line. Butterfree is definitely the superior of the two. |
