Vader shall rescue the whole galaxy!
Hank1967 chapter 22 . 1/1
Excellent chapter! Enjoying seeing the story progress. Rather looking forward to seeing your Vader handle the situation on the Executor. Enjoyed Plagueis' musings on the situation. Anakin's too. Update soon please! Can't wait to see what's next!
HyperExia chapter 22 . 1/1
Holy crap the Dark Side FEARED Vader's hatred? Demons do really run when you anger a good man.
And Vader has been angry a long, long time.
Kalstorm99 chapter 22 . 1/1
nice chapter.
ShadowLDrago chapter 22 . 1/1
"It's good to see you, Sir!" Not the usual response to seeing Darth Vader.

Given how Vader saw the similar states of the other officers, he concluded that a lack of supplies for such things had been low and rightfully deemed unimportant. Makes sense.

"I can't imagine any being prepared for this situation, Admiral," No, I can't imagine that.

"A stalemate, I'm disappointed to say. We spend weeks battling over hallways, barely making progress. These days, both sides focus on holding points and scavenging for supplies. Sounds a lot like WW1's trench warfare.

Ozzeal Ozzel. All instances of his name are spelled wrong.

It never ends well. They're completely mad, and end up causing as much trouble to us as to the enemies." Unpredictable variables. Lovely.

"No, Lord Vader. Those were fired on Ozzeal's orders," Piett answered grimly. "He no doubt knew the hail was from you." Then he will die a fool's death.

The Past and Future meeting was one thing, but he had never even heard any talks among the Jedi philosophies about alternate timelines. The Force is weird on a good day.

The man now possessed a prosthetic foot. One he was either unused to or unable to fix properly. Piett tapped a tool to it several times, tightening a piece of it. Huh. Likely unable to get a proper one, given the limited resources. Or an existing one has falled into disrepair.

"What confusing times we live in," Boy, you're not wrong.

"Vader has found his great prize."

Plagueis smiled to himself at the communication device. "Thank you for the report, my friend, and do be careful," Plagueis said as he ended the line. He stroked his chin thoughtfully. A spy amongst the Executor? But who? Do they even know they're a spy?

Vader was powerful, but Plagueis was confident that Count was the more skilled saber duelist. A fair assessment.

No, Plagueis was "The Wise" for a reason, and wisdom said to keep any anger and treachery between them on a professional level. Professionals have standards.

Awesome! Vader now has the executor. Now to take out the traitors and claim it for death squadron. The Jedi are going to freak out when they see it. Plagues will be, if nothing else, impressed by it. Looking forward to more.
Mastermind4892 chapter 22 . 12/31/2024
Vader finds only half an answer with more questions. And Plagueis' involvement in Albingi is growing more intriguing by the minute...

Happy New Year!

Plagius and the banking clans seems the best route to making the Clone Army happen for Vader. The flip side is arming that army and more particularly supplying the fleets on top of defeloping the tech to be able to maintain his future ships that nobody has parts for right now. Everything was kuat, and Vader's ability to maintain his existing ships which certainly aren't enough to constitute a fleet, meaning he needs to build fleets. How? The only way the clone numbers from canon make sense is if the "units" referred to in Attack of the Clones for galactic was means a battalion or legion of clones rather that 1 clone equalling 1 unit. Hell there were more soldiers in ww2 than in the clone army if you go by 1 clone1 unit. Ergo, if Vader wants to be effective on a galactic scale he needs vastly more than the remnants of Death Squadron which barely amount to a strike force. Even if the Executor gets secured, resupplied, and fixed to like new condition that just means he has a single dreadnought with escort ships amounting to a single ultra heavy strike force. The Clone Wars show was limited by the constraints of tv, they couldn't have battles with hundreds of ships fighting as would be expected in galactic level conflicts. Vader needs vastly more than the Executor, a handful of ISDs and a few storm trooper battalions which may or may not be at the level of the clones in competance depending on your reasoning. Even with the Executor, he doesn't have the manpower to conquer a single well armed planet much less wage a campaign. He NEEDS a faction of his own that comes with major financial and industrial might.

One top area of acquisition would be the Mandalorians. taking out Vizla and folding the Mandalorian sector into his faction is a prime way to add warriors, and it comes with some established shipping yards that would be ripe for expansion. reignite the warrior culture as his elite shock troops. Plus he can have his already ultra durable armor and prosthetics reforged with mandalorian iron, actually making the unstoppable juggernaut he is even MORE durable and dangerous.

I still can't picture him useing a droid army as any significant part of his forces. It just wouldn't feel believable, whereas ressurecting the Clone Army, even if he has no way to expect Rex or the 501st to be made up of the same men, just seems like it would be an option he'd see and persue. They were so damned effective I can't see him not doing it. Except unlike the beginning, he'd pour all the experiences learned in the war into the initial production, so the better armor and weapons for field use would be the first pick. he knows what fighters are worth the price for them, which ships from starfighters to interceptors to 'bombers' were effective. The troopers would come off the line with essentially phase III armor instead of the phase 1 or 2. Vader can make sure that whatever conditioning or implants are used make sure that their loyalty is too him (just to be sure Plagius or others cannot subvert meaningful control). He can even change the rules so that the kaminoans cannot simply kill wounded or 'defective' clones, but require that instead they test and train those clones to fill other roles in the army/navy. And to avoid it being a slave army, that's as easy as making them conscripts by guaranteeing a limited initial term of service. Say 10 years from their first assigned post beginning or something, then they get the same options as normal soldiers of reenlistment of retiring or something. That way they are at least conscripts instead of outright slaves born to die.

Theory time: Abeloth is the one who caused Vader to travel back in time.

my theory is this: we know the Ones knew about the World Between Worlds and considering how absurdly powerful the Celestials are so whose to say they are bound the same way to time as mortals? my theory is that after Abeloth was killed by Luke in Old EU timeline since she wasn't killed by the Mortis dagger she wasn't truly killed so she later on maybe after another failed attempt in Cade Skywalker's time she used the WBW to create a new timeline that being Disney timeline where the Skywalker bloodline died out so did the Jedi and the old Heroes died as failed miserable losers and yet she got defeated still(headcanon: got killed by Rey who sacrificed herself which pissed Abeloth a lot in this case seeing Rey as a nobody pretender that shouldn't even exist like us fans, for lol) so she decided "kriff it!" and put Vader back before the Clone Wars to make a chaotic timeline so that the chaos would double her already incredible abilities with the galaxy in total chaos she would be even more powerful.
