This story keeps getting better and better. The only downside to reading the next chapter when it comes out? Having to wait a month for the next one. Ah well. That’s probably how people felt when Charles Dickens’ books were being serialized at the height of his popularity.

Vader is still the Chosen One of the Force. Fallen, yes, but still Chosen. Of course he can make the abyss blink. Especially since he’s no longer chained by Sidious.

No surprise that Plagueis was able to identify the disease strain. Genetics and medicine are the core of his research for immortality, of course. I still remember how he employed genetics to kill off his malicious siblings.

I recognized the Abyss quote right away. It's ironic, though. When the Abyss first called to Anakin and Ahsoka, as Palpatine and Maul respectively offered a chance to join the Dark Side... Anakin blinked, but Ahsoka didn't.

Nevertheless... we have another piece of the puzzle. Whatever brought them back in time likely focused on the Executor, and Vader in particular. Furthermore, it's been demonstrated that it wasn't a natural temporal phenomenon. Meaning it's likely that this entity is connected, at the very least. And for it to cause temporal visions in these people...

There are extremely few entities in Star Wars capable of this. And I know few that are friendly.
