BlazeStryker chapter 4 . 12/22/2024 I don't know about dead magical flesh, but dead ultra-toxic flesh? The body of Napolean Bonaparte has suffered almost no decay since he died because he was incrementally fed small, increasing amounts of strychnine until he finally died of it. By that time he was so laden with the stuff that his corpse, again, is free of decay. (Grammarly wants me to change that "is" to "was" but I will not do this because Napolean's condition is ongoing.) |
Difdi chapter 9 . 12/17/2024 You have a typo in this chapter, and arguably throughout this and other stories. As formal as the British wizarding world is in the late 20th century, I find it HIGHLY unlikely that anyone would use 21st century non-magical spellings of words in official correspondence. As such, the word "connexion" would never be written by a goblin in a formal letter from Gringotts to one of their customers - the goblin would write "connection" instead. When you, the author, is narrating, use of unusual spellings is, well, unusual, but not incorrect. When characters in the story are speaking, use of words like connexion is a matter of authorial choice. But when you have someone writing such words in-character, decades before the word was coined, let alone entered mainstream use, that is a typo. |
I am more than chapter 11 . 10/8/2024 ok with it, I prefer cleverness, and letting the grown ups do the job... well thought ! |
maiqsmail chapter 4 . 9/23/2024 Statue of the founding spirit of Hogwarts... Riiiiight. I must've missed the "for 5 y.o. only" rating. |
maiqsmail chapter 3 . 9/23/2024 Yeah, let's roughshod over the entirety of world building balance with some Deus ex machina plot devices like infallible ways to say the truth (in this case magical oath). Meh, that's just cheap, might as well just made AU with "and after samhain 1981 when the Dark lord fell, everyone was interrogated with veritaserum and absolutely all Death eaters were arrested so Riddle failed to come back to life ever again". |
Busymom75 chapter 11 . 9/21/2024 I have read many of your stories in the last few days, and you keep some of your changes to canon very similar in each of the stories, but you also explore different options for the vanquishing of Voldemort. Using the logic that you have done to explain your interpretation of the prophesy, I conclude that you have made many good points. Personally, I never enjoy seeing Harry as a killer, even if he only kills someone/several someones to preserve his own life. In this particular story, Amelia Bones requested the assistance of the ICW aurors, and told Harry to ask THEM to act as his hand for the Battle of Malfoy Manor. If Albus Dumbledore hade really considered the wording of the prophesy, he might (eventually) reached the same or a similar logical conclusion. However, Bumbling Dumbles was a greedy, self appreciating idiot who felt that his fame was waning and did not like that thought. He felt that as the Defeater of Grindelwald, HE SHOULD be to one to ultimately vanquish Voldemort instead of Harry, and he plotted and planned to try and make this happen. In these stories that you have written, not only is Bumbling Dumbles a serious GLORY HOUND, he is also an abuser-by-proxy, starting from the exact moment theat he left 15 month old toddler Harry on the doorstep of number 4 Privet Drive. If they have psychologists and psychiatrists in the magical world, he would have been diagnosed - many years ago - as suffering from the mental disorder Munchausen-by-proxy. He would have never been allowed to continue teaching at any school, or even become headmaster. He would most likely have been confined to an asylum or sanitorium in a secure wing for the rest of his life. Thank you for writing these stories, and for including your very logical explainations and interpretations of the prophesy. |
WolfgangNH chapter 11 . 9/11/2024 I think this is the fourth time ive read thos story enjoy it now just as much as the first timr |
Tracy b chapter 13 . 9/8/2024 Wonderful tale. Thank you very much. I do enjoy a great read |
Goosefire chapter 13 . 9/4/2024 Interesting wrap; it's cool. |
Goosefire chapter 11 . 9/4/2024 I agree with your interpretation. Voldemort seemed compelled to kill Harry so he was not getting on with his life or plans. By being constantly on alert Harry could not enjoy his life knowing he might die or someone near him may be killed so he wasn't living either. You are the first writer I have encountered who shares that insight, good deal! |
jwizard39 chapter 13 . 9/1/2024 I only have one quibble with this chapter. Dumbledore (going by canon) wasn't Headmaster in 1944; Armando Dippet was. So, were those classes dropped because Dippet (as, again, shown by canon) was an inept Head, or did the bearded bumblebee mind-whammy/potion him? I know that this is AU (and massively at that) but this issue bothers me for some reason. |
Coul532003yahoo chapter 3 . 8/26/2024 I just have to applaud you for proving (or at least pointing out) that the lack of logic in the Wizarding world is just another trope perpetrated by JKR. Ans, not only that, but your author's not was just as entertaining as the story. BRAVO! I truly enjoy your stories and they have become my go-to readings. Thank you for sharing with us, and may you continue that sharing, wherever you post. |
SkeeterB chapter 6 . 8/16/2024 I have enjoyed this story from Chapter 1 to now, and wonder if someone (another HP Fan that is an artist) could draw an image of Harry giving that "Insane Axe Murderer Smile". That is a creepy phrase that would make someone think that Harry has gone "DARK" in the words of the headbastard. Keep of the good work. |
pizza13lover15 chapter 6 . 7/18/2024 This is riddikulus story. Dumbledore is an idiot, Harry suddenly has the balls and charisma to say stuff noone sane would, Ron has no good qualities about him, as well as all Weasleys (for no good reason, apart from being related to Ronald), McGonagall suddenly lost all her charm, even f...ing Snape is a completly new person. This is just a bad story, sorry. |
Abstract01 chapter 11 . 7/4/2024 Interesting side note to your "die at the hand of the other" reasoning: any death-eater could have killed Potter, as they are all 'hands' of voldemort - except volde commanded them to not do so because volde wanted the 'honor'. As for what RonW yells, WHO CARES what he believes? |
