I think that "catholic" and "Catholic" are not interchangeable. The upper case one typically refers to the Roman Catholic church and the lower case one has the "universal" meaning.

I don't recall Bennet being so bad in the beginning . Does Jane's death cause him to deteriorate? even after Mrs Bennet slaps Lydia and they seem on the same page ?
