Reviews for A Most Beloved Sister |

![]() ![]() C!ever story! |
![]() ![]() Why on earth would you use the names Mary, Catherine and Philip for the Gardiner's children, when the story already has characters with those names? In real life we have to deal with the confusion of knowing multiple people with the same name, but you literally have hundreds of perfectly acceptable regency era names to choose from, so unless it's going to be relevant for the plot later on all you're doing is breaking my immersion by making me go "wait, why the heck are they naming their kids the same as two of their cousins first names and the last name of their aunt and uncle?" |
![]() ![]() The change about Mr. Bennet’s saving enough money to take care of Jane and the rest of his daughters is at least a very good change. I’m not so sure about Mr. Collins’ olive branch. Maybe he would have the same opinion as Mr. Darcy’s father and the Bennet’s midwife and insist that Jane be sent away instead of agreeing to care for her as part of his family, even if one of the Bennets married him. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I just finished reading all 5 chapters beginning with the into and love it! The sensitive demonstrated throughout each chapter is very thoughtful and refreshing. I am glad that Darcy right away that his comment was uncalled for and quickly reword it. I am surprise that Darcy Sr. handle the new of his daughter so badly and hope he did not send her to a mental institution like Bethlem place. I really love your story and look forward to the next chapter very soon. Thanks for sharing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh lord. This isn’t good. |
![]() ![]() I am enjoying and enthralled with this story. I have worked with the mentally challenged and can envision this easily. Some, if you didn't know otherwise, you would never know they are, and just think they were super sweet and naive. Look forward to more! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I am confused as I cannot remember how many chapters were posted on She Smiles Too Much. But so far it is the same story posted under a different title? As well, I couldn’t see the story in the app but I can online… Anyway I am waiting to read the new chapters. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The conversation between Elizabeth and Charlotte concerning Jane was so honest, thoughtful and meaningful. Elizabeth truly was worried about Jane’s ability to handle a marriage, a husband and children. Elizabeth fears the worst…her sister being mistreated. I like this strong, protective Elizabeth who knows Jane better than anybody and seems to be willing to stand up to Darcy. The unkind gentleman who saw it fit to belittle her dear sister. A confrontation maybe coming. Thank you for all the chapter uploads…I enjoyed them all. …Have a nice evening. |
![]() ![]() ![]() At the Meryton assembly Jane was most popular with the young gentlemen and they all claimed their dances with her. Besides her unique beauty, Jane was known for her kind and good nature…everything a man needs to be attracted to her. I like the way her protective sister Elizabeth was ready to defend Jane after hearing Darcy’s mean-spirited and harsh remark. A close bond between sisters lasts a lifetime. I enjoyed this delightful chapter….now for the next one… |
![]() ![]() ![]() The reactions of Mr Bennet and Mr George Darcy when their daughters were born were probably typical for that time…being afraid for the future of the babies. Both men said things in anger that they will regret later on. But the scene that pulled at my heartstrings was when young Fitzwilliam held his sister and begged his father to keep her. Along with his mother Anne desperately agreeing with her son. So anxious to read the next chapter…. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for continuing this story and adding your recommended research. I read all the articles and websites and it was so helpful. I understand completely about the subject matter. Now I will start to read the chapters and will refer to your research again. |
![]() ![]() ![]() “Yes ,but he did seem to lime his SECOND choice… |
![]() ![]() ![]() So I was following this story as "She Smiles Too Much" and loved it, but it looks like you took that down and reposted it with a different title. I will read through thes 4 chapters to see how you may have changed it, but I thought it was terrific. Good writing and heartfelt understanding of the love we have for our "different" family and friends. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Lydia and Mrs. B chasing Darcy? Oooh lord this is going to be an embarrassing time for poor Elizabeth |
