Reviews for Lightning, Part 3: Rise of the Sentinels |

![]() ![]() ![]() love the story Waiting For A part 4 |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm sad that you're not going to write another Lightning story. But, I hope that you might actually write a one-shot series that is a spinoff/inbetweener of your Lightning stories about what happens before the official end of them, because I have some ideas for you that I hope you'll like. Here are my ideas about creating a little one-shot series: Gabrielle Delacour is a mutant. Her mutant powers/abilities are photokinesis, plasmokinesis, bioluminescence, and self-propelled flight. Her codename is Asteria and her power level is Alpha (aka Class IV). The name Asteria is derived from a mythological figure of the same name in Greek mythology, a Titaness whose name means "starry one." X.) Photokinesis is the power generate, control, and manipulate light. X.) Plasmokinesis is the power generate, control, and manipulate plasma. X.) Bioluminescence is the projection and emission of light in living organisms. Gabrielle's (or Gabby's) family, Fleur, Apolline, and Monsieur Delacour's reaction to her mutation is confusion and curiosity, not fear, nor hatred. Prof. Xavier comes to their home in France later with a couple of his X-Men, that of which includes Harry, much to Fleur's surprise. After introductions are made, the Delacours are explained everything about what has happened with Gabby, saying that she is now a mutant and Xavier gives some speculative theories on how Gabby's mutation manifested based on her being part-Veela. The visit with the Delacours ends very good and Gabby's parents agree to send her to his school across the pond in America along with the offer of being allowed to visit her anytime they want via their own magical means. Harry has taken to studying more about his mutant powers of electrokinesis where his studies have extended to different types of metals that can actually conduct electricity. His study of whichever metallic materials that are electrical conductors gives him an idea to actually install weapons of metal whips and other weapons and supplies into his X-Uniforms that he can use as surprise attacks against opponents and enemies, parallel to a bullwhip and a kusari-fundo used in offense and defense, which will work similar to Dr. Octopus's and Omega Red's respective tentacles and Whiplash's whips. While studying the metals he plans on installing in his X-Uniforms, he decides to incorporate them with safeties, that of which includes a very powerful and modified Shield Charm, Magnetic Impervius Charm, and Stickfast Hex. X.) The Shield Charm on his weapons repel, block, and deflect offensive magic spells and dark magic similar to how a baseball/cricket bat his their respective balls à la the bullet catch trick. X.) The Magnetic Impervius Charm on his weapons makes them to all magnetic fields/manipulations, especially Magneto's powers of ferrokinesis (metal manipulation). X.) The Stickfast Hex on his weapons allows them to stick objects and other items on them parallel to the Summoning Charm along with grappling where they can adhesively stick to solid surfaces in order to break somebody's fall and rappel down to safety or climb up to a particular spot. And the following metals that work as superconductors for electricity are aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, lead, platinum, silver, and zinc. Hestia and Flora Carrow are mutants all the same. They are twin sisters who are Hogwarts students sorted into Slytherin that were first introduced in the film adaptation of Half-Blood Prince where they are in attendance of a Slug Club dinner party and later Christmas party, hosted by Horace Slughorn, a former Hogwarts teacher who was the Head of Slytherin House and Potions Master respectively during Voldemort, Lily, Snape, and the Marauders' respective schooldays when they were students before Snape took over his job, but were never mentioned in the books. The only other Carrows officially featured in the Harry Potter series are two of Voldemort's most loyal Death Eaters, Amycus and Alecto Carrow, who served as Defense Against the Dark Arts and Muggle Studies teachers respectively at Hogwarts during Voldemort's takeover of the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts in the original timeline during Deathly Hallows. Now, Hestia and Flora are supposedly distantly related to Amycus and Alecto, but how they're related is unknown, so it's possible that Hestia and Flora are nieces to Amycus and Alecto or cousins. They haven't been shown to possess any prejudice or bigotry towards wizards and witches that aren't "pure" in accordance with Voldemort's so-called beliefs of magical ancestry à la Adolf Hitler other than a majority of prejudiced wizarding families that are alumni of Slytherin House that supported Voldemort, whether Death Eaters or not. Their respective mutant powers/abilities are the following: Hestia: cryokinesis and cold temperature manipulation and immunity Flora: pyrokinesis and warm temperature manipulation and immunity Their respective codenames are Chione (Hestia) and Lampad (Flora), and their power levels are Alpha (aka Class IV) Hestia's codename with the X-Men is derived from one of several figures of Greek mythology. Chione is the Greek goddess of snow and the daughter of Boreas, the god of the north wind. So her powers would be similar to Iceman's in a sense. Flora's codename with the X-Men is based on a nature deity of the same name in Greek mythology. A Lampad (pl. Lampads) is a nymph of the Greek Underworld who is a companion of Hecate, the Greek goddess of magic, witchcraft, and crossroads, but have also occasionally served as handmaidens to Persephone, the Greek goddess of spring and the Queen of the Underworld. And the ancient Romans called them "infernal nymphs." So her powers would represent fire. Hestia and Flora's respective mutations are based on a yin and yang type of concept where sometimes in rare cases, twins are the exact opposite of one another, which shows how most twin siblings tend to "share a brain" if you will, based on their personalities like how Fred and George Weasley have been depicted throughout the whole series. So their superpowers in their mutations would be the yin and yang, but that doesn't mean they should be enemies where ice and fire are opposites of one another. As for the girls' family, I honestly don't know how their parents would react to them being mutants. I don't know if they would accept them for being mutants all the while allowing Professor X to take them in to be students at his school across the pond or disown them. I know that Amycus and Alecto might possibly very well be mutant haters because they followed Voldemort and presumably fought against the X-Men, Avengers, and whatnot before they were eventually either killed in action or incarcerated in Azkaban. Harry and Logan will work together on studying the latter's adamantium-plated skeleton. Harry will cast VERY powerful spells on Logan's skeleton. The first of which is the Magnetic Impervius Charm, which protects him and makes him completely impervious to Magneto's powers of magnetic manipulation along with muggle magnetic fields. The second spell is a modified Feather-Light Charm, which makes his whole skeleton very light-weighted like a normal human being's skeleton. Later, they will both work on how Logan can turn his adamantium skeleton on and off like a lightswitch via Transfiguration experimenting perhaps with a little of McGonagall's help and other experts in Transfiguration when it becomes necessary where he won't trigger any known metal detectors in the muggle world at all, either. After they have succeeded with their work on Logan's adamantium-plated skeleton, Logan will celebrate by drinking some firewhiskey from the wizarding world since he has been known to drink a lot ever since he lost his memories, including all of the post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) he has suffered from fighting in God knows how many wars throughout the years. Sirius decides to open up a muggle auto maintenance and repair shop thanks to Prof. Xavier giving Sirius a telepathic knowledge transfer about the muggle world where Sirius is able to attend muggle university and get a degree in automotive/mechanical engineering. He uses both muggle and magical means in his auto repair shop, and will even give some cars magical upgrades, too. His business become a big hit and makes a lot of money. P.S. Personally, I think Harry should've attended muggle college at Empire State University instead of Columbia. In case you don't know, Empire State University (ESU) is a fictional private Ivy League university in Manhattan. Some of ESU's alumni include Norman Osborn, Emma Frost/White Queen, and Spider-Man himself. |

![]() ![]() ![]() What a story! So glad it's been completed but also disappointed as I'll need to find something new to replace it with. Love the epilogue and am interested to see what's next for you |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you very much for your great story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I forgot something to share with you about Harry and Wolverine. I think in your next sequel, perhaps Harry and Logan should actually work together on studying Logan's adamantium-plated skeleton. Harry will cast VERY powerful spells on Logan's skeleton. The first of which is the Magnetic Impervius Charm, which protects him and makes him completely impervious to Magneto's powers of magnetic manipulation along with muggle magnetic fields. ![]() ![]() ![]() Your storytelling is amazing! You create interesting worlds, well-developed characters, and engaging plots that keep readers invested. Each story has its own charm and is a joy to read. I think your story would work great as a comic bringing the action, emotions, and atmosphere to life through artwork. Important moments could be illustrated with dynamic panels and expressive characters. If you're interested, I'd love to collaborate and turn your story into a visual experience If you like my idea let's connect on discord: aholmes2373 thank you. |
