Now that I think about it, Yue's desire to stay in Omashu could be an attempt by her to escape her responsibility for the pirate incident, so Zuko should have made her go with them so she could face the consequences of her actions, or at least see what mercy, for those who don't deserve it, can bring.

Not to mention that this separation seems very forced in my opinion. If you wanted to do something like this, you could have added later that the Southern Water Tribe troops were having problems with the Fire Nation troops, at the same time as the pirate incident. That way, Yue could go support the members of her sister tribe without seeming to flee from her responsibility to the pirates, since Zuko, for obvious reasons, couldn't show up.

What's more, Hakoda could teach her a lesson about life that Yue didn't receive due to how protected her life was in the Northern Water Tribe.

Now Suki appears, and the first encounter wasn't the best, so I wonder how this will be resolved.

PS: Wasn't Jet supposed to live inside the Earth Kingdom? So the incident with the pirates shouldn't have affected him enough to be in Omashu at that time. Besides, knowing his personality, he'd rather stay and fight than run away.

That certainly sounds about right. There is no way that Toph wouldn't taunt them in a fight after pasting the non-benders with a bit of AoE bending. She never was one to have a sense of fair-play .

Yue really is a dumb bitch. I genuinely hope something bad happens to her. Also Zuko is just as much of a bitch as her for constantly going along with her stupid fucking ideas.

Part of me wants to complain about the fact that even with literal thousands (if not tens of thousands) of people displaced, raped or murdered she's STILL on the that freaking high horse of hers. But then I remember what canon Aang was like and my mind goes "yep that tracks". I took a quick peak through the comments and man did people jump to the idea of her cheating quickly even though it would be completely out of character to the point of being nonsensical. I'm personally guessing he's gonna try and pull what he did with Katara and fall flat on his face when he tries for romance only for that pyscho side of his personality to rear its' ugly head and FINALLY knock some common damn sense into her. Or I could be way off the mark and neither I or the others are right. Whatever it is I'm sure it will be a great read and I can't wait to see what comes next.

I just hope you don't do anything really serious with Yue and Jet, seriously it would be a terrible choice, partly because Zuko would become worse than Ozai if that happens, and it would make the war much worse than it already is with his knowledge of the canon, since he is trusting Yue leaving her alone, second Yue is too innocent and protected to be able to deal with the consequences of her actions, if something were to happen between them knowing her she wouldn't be able to live with her own actions and most likely she would take her own life thinking that this way she will solve everything, and thirdly, everything that Zuko and Yue have lived through, although it is not much, has been very important for both of them, so betraying Zuko the first would make the character become an empty one and being a horrible person, as for the situation with Toph it is different since she is aware and is encouraging her to get closer to Zuko.

The best thing you can do is have Jet try to get closer to her, while she rejects his advances. Seeing how psychotic Jet can be, he might try to force himself on Yue, which would make her see that not all people are good.

It could even be that Zuko returns early, either because he finished what he had to do or because he was close, and seeing how close Zuko and Yue are, Jet decides to try to do something drastic to Yue, forcing her to defend herself and ending up seriously hurting Jet or killing him.

PS: Just please don't do a Mary Jane, because then you'll lose everyone who loves your stories.
