Please don't mark a story as complete unless the complete story is actually posted here. It is rude to the readers and really bad form to use a site like ff as an advertising site for your published stories.

Wait, what happened. Last post I saw was chapter 14 or so. Was waiting for an update and now this note saying the story was up for publishing and only the first three chapters. I looked and saw others commented on other chapters which I never got. Very sad that I didn’t get to read the rest of the story.

This was beautiful. Thank you for writing this. I admit I was hesitant to read at first. I was afraid about the laudanum addiction and how much of the story it will take up but I think you've handled it really well. You managed to show the great struggle but also kept it at the perfect length and detail.
Darcy and Elizabeth falling in love was simply beautiful and well done. You could've focused on the angst more.. could've make Elizabeth struggle more with her affection for Darcy but I'm glad you didn't. This way it was lovely and heart-warming. I can only recommend this story to everyone.

On a different note in an earlier chapter (11 chapter 10), the one where Elizabeth and Darcy were married and her maid cut her finger with the butter knife, I think you should know butter knives are as blunt as old boots, they could just about cut err well butter. They certainly wouldn’t cut a finger. Perhaps a small bread knife one used for bread rolls.

Thank you for such a beautiful chapter, it was lovely to read. The descriptions of love given by Mrs Gardiner were just right and so very true. After fifty five years of marriage I can vouch for that. Marriage must be worked at to the end and into the eternities. The scripture quote fitted perfectly.
