- him writing the gosspi colum is just *chef kiss* also him thinking life is boring in district 10 is so real of him, cause when i think of district 10 its just nothing. i hope he enjoys the capitol and all their shiny stuff and the hunger games and all the excitement thats gonna happen

- wait her being in a peacekeeper academy is so interesting through cause its something i would never expect from a district 10 tribute
- her wants to fix society is so unique too though, i don’t think i’ve ever met a tribute who want to fix society as much as she does. i feel like shes a little bit morally grey and i love that for her
- if she was a demigod, she would be a daughter of athena for sure, her and annabeth would get along so well (sorryn about all their pjo reference, i don’t know why i keep thinking of them this chapter)

- his stubborness would either save or kill him, probably kill him, but being able to fight through what must be agonizing pain is a talent all in itself

- he’s so an unique character and ever since arcane season 2 came out i keep thinking of vi in this scene

asha: she's interesting! i loved that we got to see such different parts of her life in the three sections that you split this into. i am SO fucking curious what has happened with the blood and her dad and whoever quin/finn is. classic "can fix everything except for what matters" trope has my heart, and for some reason ciara and her stutter fucking sent me. excited to see more of her history come out - she could be an interesting parallel to decker mayhaps. i'm neutral on her until we see more of what's going on but it's looking positive.

sofian: i mean, of course i love him. shitty rat bastard gremlin does something dumb out of genuine love for his family and has no idea how to cope with the consequences? sign me the fuck up. idk how realistic the first scene was but i'm willing to suspend disbelief because that shit was just too fucking funny. people thinking he's a badass for it at school then remembering he's still annoying as fuck had me rolling. him and his sister are kind of everything to me? i want to know more about him already and really am horrified of what kind of dumb shit he'll get up to.

sutton: ah, i knew i wouldn't like him based on his blog entry, but i underestimated the extent. there's just something so uncomfortable about a white man in a district that's known for being majority black "operating" on people, to make them more holy or whatever. like okay colonizer. reading this made me really squeamish and not because of gore or anything. sutton just... why? i'm not even sure he'll be a good villain because everything about him is still so white savior racist pos coded wow i could speak more but i don't wanna make myself sick. sutton foster, mommy, i am so sorry that you have to share a name with this awful cunt. hell, judas iscariot, i'm sorry you have to share a name with him. oh well at least i have somebody to actively root for the death of.

honestly really like this bit of con's games. it really... puts things into perspective. he didn't even win in a relatively impressive way. he didn't really use his mind the way you would've thought. he was a terrified kid and honestly a lot of it came down to luck. and now he's got this drive to take control over his life and as many others as he can, probably in large part as a way to cope but also just... to try and rewrite the past.

oren's intro was deliciousness! i loved how you took us through the different eras of his life and how miserable it is to be with the twins like YUMMM hello mr. midwest emo, fancy seeing you here! i cant even blame their friends for not wanting to hang out w f and f because they're poo poo garbage, but it still made me sad. and then the final moment of him at the bar before things Went Wrong UGHHHH bro was getting way too hopeful smh oren did you forget ur life sucks and actually everything is terrible and awful all the time. ty sm for writing them so beautifully!

I REALLY FW PATTON! free him - he didn't do anything wrong even if he wants to. unfortunate that lady luck acts the way that it does around him, but i really fw'd how bleak and miserable his intro was and the repetition of being stuck on trial. i was frustrated the house down for him and then again, you hit us with the hopeful ending like yay he has dreams again too bad he will die (or honestly he may not) later on. happens to the best of us.

mira made me so sad! she was just in situation after situation that year, huh. i loved the way the two sections paralleled each other that was hella clever. just watching people lose their sparkle makes me sad, even if she didn't stand out to me like patton did. unsure how she's going to do in the capitol but she will for sure make me sad asf again at some point

- her working at a bar is a perspective i’ve never seen before and it’s actually so exciting to see. i wonder if the fact that evelyn work in a bar will help them in the hunger games. like maybe she’ll be able to mix up drink and make people drunk or something, that will be fun!i think her love for music also draws me in, and she’ll be a really interesting character to see in the arena

snaedis lukic (district 8 female)
- ummm so did she magicked him away or… T_T she’s definitely a character, i think she has an air of unsettledness around her that i don’t see often in SYOT. but somehow i still think the hunger game will chew her up then spit her out in pieces. she’s either going to go far by getting ignored or she’s going to be too kind and get betrayed and killed in the bloodbath / early on, at least in my opinion…

Rill Hozuki (district 11 tribute)
- omg, are they going to volunteer? that is sure one way to end it all, i feel a little bad for them, but i’m really curious about what they cooked up that became poison and kill the doctor. i honestly don’t think they will go far in the game, because they seem determine to disappear to make the guilt disappear. but maybe they’ll surprise me

constantine being a gamemaker coming from a previous victor was definitely not something i was not expecting but not something i'm against. i think this chapter just shows that when worst comes to worst, humanity will do whatever it takes to survive

amaris was such an interesting character and i love how she just threw her father under the bus and took over. girl boss move, i approve. she seems so confidence in what she’s doing and i just know she’s gonna reck so chaos

honestly i thought she was going to assassinate sol at first maybe it’ll come later

noelle was also super different and i enjoyed reading her pov. i was surprised when scylla came from nowhere though but her divine like perspective is really distinct too and i wonder what she’ll ask noelle

i didn’t really read the year sacha won the game so it took me by surprised when i realized he’s really old but i think he seems like a really cool old man. i love his insight on scylla and i love the details of how he loves to tend to his garden. maybe he’ll be asked to design deadly plants in the arena or something!

anansi is cool, i’m surprised he’s working for the capitol though… i would’ve thought that all victors will grow to hate it at some point but i feel like maybe he doesn’t have a lot of choices. i’m curios about what he’d done to make everyone hates him-

I love everything about sol's pov and i love Scylla's pov even more if possible. i think the way you describe everything gives me the chills and it's refreshing to see how a game has affected a tribute that had clearly fought tooth and nails for her winning spot. the touch of divine intervention was nice as well and i will be catching up on the nine chapters I've unfortunately missed
