Overall Constantine is really cool and I enjoyed this prologue. Making a victor the head gamemaker is especially cruel, you are not nice to your victors / lh

Eve: Hi Eve! A bartender oooo. 9 being considered the forgotten district is funny, it’s my second favorite district I think, partly because of the fact that it’s so forgotten in the books – there’s a lot of room to be creative with it. Eve is cool too, I like that’s she’s a singer too. I get the feeling they and Oren might be a collab!

Snaedis: Snaedis is sweet. The dark magic part of her backstory is interesting as well. I wonder if that will play any part in the arena :o

Rill: Damn, Rill’s backstory is tragic, I feel so bad for them. Your writing is really neat in this section too, it flows really well and I really enjoy your dialogue.

Mahra: Mahras extremely interesting for a district 10 tribute -training to be a peacekeeper. That should definitely help her in the games!

Decker: I love me a 6M. Hell yeah! Decker is really cool too with a lot of different things going on. I love his rattyness. Really cool. Also the fact that he’s come kind of underground boxing promoter?

Haieee it is in fact Nell (: sorry to tease u about it but yes i did in fact read ivt for this :D truly this was such a fun read, I’m really enjoying the way your verse is set up so far, esp w the victors being granted Capitolite citizenship after they win :0 creates some super neat conflicts that your subplot chars are doing an excellent job of exploring so far ! Im gonna go over them individually for this review i think thatll help me sort things easier !

Sol - ok shes a super fun character, im absolutely obsessed w her vibes as like. This party guy who does coke and stuff w the victors but also as someone who most of ur pov characters so far are genuinely terrified of. Its so juicy :D thats My vice president fr ! Love how sol seems to like entertaining himself with his chosen favorite victors like nosing into constantine’s plans (and romantic life cjdjdj) and subtly helping (“””helping”””?) Amaris with moving up the ladder.. very fun stuff. This is probably based off the fact that shes more relevant than the president rn, but i could totally see Sol ending up in power by the end of the fic. Either bc he has laurent killed bc hes bored or something else.. idk man. Maybe president would be too boring of a job for sol who knows! Either way he sure does have a Presence :D oh also. The deal w sol’s brother being a goddamn SERIAL KILLER? Wild. Really fun though JDJDJD

Scylla - okay idc how brutal she was in her games shes baby to me. To ME. chosen one of the sun cult… who actually WON.. i really like how her introductory pov here is on the quieter end. Like its clear she’s not Adjusted yet, and in the wake of her games and her faith being tested by this Adrien guy being out of contact with her… ;-; really fun themes ur playing around with here.. idt shes gonna lose faith completely but i also dont trust that scylla’s religion has her best interests at heart ;-; veeeery intrigued about her appearing in Noelle’s pov to.. preach ig. If Scylla gets a bunch of the victors invested in her religion this could. Maybe cause problems for the capitol.. gonna be very interesting to see what she does ;—; shes still baby to me though. Just let her rest…

Sacha - ohhh my god pathetic old man (affectionate) KDKDDK.. love that he just wants to be left alone with his plants and shit but on god that cannot happen. Alas. Also 12 kills is deranged what did this guy Do. Hes got a neat position compared to some of ur more bombastic victors like scylla.. unseen and forgotten. Which yeah that makes sense why Sol wants him to act as spy for the capitol. Oups. Funny as hell though. This doesnt feel like its gonna end well for him, good luck buddy :sob:

Anansi - YEAHH THE MAN HIMSELF… god hes such a fascinating character.. id love to learn more about how the heck con went about building him into a victor bc that shits intriguing as hell. Memory implants,,, the fact that he can just Switch on and off his games memories is rly :O him and con intending to work as gamemakers together though.. like regardless of the fact that he got shafted to mentor. Really funky that theyd both be willing to turn traitor to their district basically and work as conductors of the orphan crushing machine :sob: love his vibes so far too hes got a rly fun personality for a machine man cjdjdk

Amaris - ok good for her for weaseling her way into capitol favor… kind of. Idk how much shell be able to get based on the concept of her games.. which is super Neat btw :0 capitol voted her in and how they hate her… and she hates them so shes playing the long game.. very cool :D the meeting with Sol is super funky too, i like how we see more of her cards get revealed through it. Stealing her dads hpk job, turning him in as the leader of the rebels, only to further her own plot for leading the rebellion herself… very bold move ! Chances of it working seem a bit slim but yknow what itll be fun to see how she tries :D

Noelle - she volunteered bc she was BORED LMAO.. obsessed. Baseball bat is such a badass weapon too :heart: good gamble for winning but ultimately a bad gamble bc she’s clearly still bored :sob: but like. This is creating a really interesting opening for scylla at the end of her pov here.. they seem like they could have a nice friendship at least too, i like the dynamic theyve got going on ;-; im not a career im a volunteer….. very excited to learn more abt this plotline :D methinks theres gonna be a lot of interesting things for sacha to listen in on LOL

Con - the legend himself yeahhhh! Poor guy is going through it without having anansi nearby :sob: though i suppose thats why you separated them…. Gotta love that Con-flict.. haha.. get it… augh he thinks the reapings and being hgm are gonna. Save him. Con…. Buddy…. Ur nailing it with the religious themes though JCXKDKDK.. i still wanna learn more abt what exactly con did to anansi.. iirc you said u plan on writing them a one shot or something but. Yeah id read the hell out of that :D from what u can already tell its quite fucked up which makes it really fun and complicated that theyre basically codependent on each other at this point. Com may have fixed anansi but it seems like he put some of his own soul in there too. Or something. The bit abt anansi begging con to fry his memory to a crisp . Like. God damn. And like both con and anansi finding comfort in “who cares about the d3 kids they’re gonna die anyways its not like we need another victor, we are forever and theyre not :heart:” WOOF.. brutal. Wonder if and how that might change for Anansi when he meets the d3 tributes… love the convo with con and sol here in this pov also.. forsee the two of them becoming genuine friends perhaps (if theyre not already)… love the little flashback to Con’s games and the moment he decided his life was more important.. v easy to see how that lead him to where he is now. He wants to control fate by controlling the games… gooooood luck buddy :sob:

river: your writing was really strong as usual — seriously dude you’re kicking ass with these intros — and I loved the way you characterized the forest and the way river sees things, he’s simply a bit too edgy for my tastes, if that makes sense. like okay sure, fuck it, magic is real now and bro can cast spells. much like snaedis, unsure i can suspend my disbelief w him, but i do get a kick out of how pathetic he is.

darling: what a fascinating individual brooke has brought upon us. he’s definitely a prick and privileged beyond belief, but there’s something amusing about how boring his life has been. as a burnt out gifted kid, i recognize and appreciate my own kind so i do really like him and his mysterious energy. coffin makers is such a fun profession for d1 - much like apollo i think the games will kick his ass and I’m excited for it. also the val cameo had me :eyes:

evelyn - awww eve is willing to lend an ear to the patrons. and they’re friendly! kind of like a social butterfly. she’s so cute and optimistic and has a good outlook on life. love! and im always a sucker for the gathering stories trope. which helps with her inspiration and or lack of it right now. idk they give dnd bard vibes. and eve wants to do good in the world and has a strong work ethic which is encouraging. ooooo and a performer ! oh no, they’ve lost their spark. but wait - we have a meet cute! ah it’s oren! and he’s another singer! oh she’s coming on strong okay slay. omg they just getttttttt each other. what a cute hopeful ending that obviously won’t end in tragedy or death!

snaedis - come to the dark side, we have cookies. a very nice gesture but idk maybe it’s her blog pic that has me on edge and untrusting…oh missing son? yeah i don’t like this. oh a stain you say? yeah this bitch hearing things and casting hexes. but wait! seems like miss ma’am is like a little witch vigilante by night and sweet little baker by day. spell charms okayyy wiccannnn vibes. she definitely has me interested!
