excellent chapter really building up the suspense

You completely surprised me with the actions that Anakin took, I expected a reaction but this one didn't, but anyway it was a good choice, but seeing his actions as the context that was presented explaining some of the difficulties that Anakin went through during his training despite his natural talent, that he entered into a state of communion with the Force while working with the hyper drive is surprising. I wonder what Obi Wan would think if his Padawan saw him entering into communion working with some machines instead of traditional meditation. It could raise the question of whether this would be a particular focus of his Padawan, after all he was always a mechanic at heart since childhood, but with his mother free from slavery he can focus on being a better Jedi. Even so, the Lord of Terror will unleash him because he is a legend to his enemies. I only hope that there is something left for the crew of the Invincible.

On a more serious note if we’re leaning on the ‘rule is cool’ way in Sith sorcery then perhaps we’re gonna see more unhinged scenes?

Darth Nihilus-esque Cain literally taking away people’s morale? Trapping people in a living nightmare in their minds?

I have only recently come into knowledge of Cain from all the hype surrounding Warhammer lately so this story is a true gem to find and I cant wait to read more?

Great chapter! Love the story. I am very grateful you didn't leave us on the ciff about Anakin too long! Having fun trying to guess what's next for Cain, the Republic, the Jedi and all the others in the cast of characters!

Could be that they did interrogate Gunray, just to get nothing of value. Here is another thought: if the line of Bane was the one that did the rule of two thing specifically, and they were formed as part of the destruction of the other Sith sects, how did the Jedi know that?

Not realy sure why would anyone think Anakin repairing hyperdrive would be too much-he is not macgyvering it from paperclip, wet towel, three rubber band and hamster in wheel as energy source-as all parts are already here the time consuming part would be probably analysing/cataloging and planing which parts to use to be properly compatible(gotta wonder how good was standartization a long time ago in galaxy far, far away) which force can happily skip-as tinkering with technology is pretty much his thing... not to mention there are powers like mechu-deru even if it is more of dark side thing.

Anyway it seems Ciaphas Cain, the hero of Imperium is three step ahead once again without even knowing it(once again).

Also as he was named...f**k Erebus :D .
