Reviews for A Sweet Girl |

![]() ![]() ![]() I was trepidation about reading your story. My mom was a narcissistic like Jane. Everyone loved her, I was so blinded, I thought she was my best friend like Elizabeth at the beginning of your story. The fact that my mom never had friends for long should have alerted me, but she played the victim and blamed her mother who everyone under the sun knew she was an abusive person. I woke up in 2022 when she died suddenly in my arms, before her death I thought I would be lost without her, she had managed to have me move in with her after I left my abusive relationship and was with child, she even talked me into quitting my job and relying on her completely (it was to raise my son out of daycare. my son was 14 when she died, I still was without a job.) When she died I thought I would be devastated, my supposedly best friend died. But I didn't feel that way. I felt relieve and then guilt because I did not completely understand until I went to therapy and my therapist helped me to understand my mother was a narcissi and I was her victim. I may not be as rich as I was and I had to struggle and still do to support myself and my son, but I am honestly happier than I have every been when I had money and my mother. |
![]() ![]() Poor Fitz. Awful parents. And now he's saddled with an awful friend. I just hope he keeps away from that evil gw. Cheers. |
![]() ![]() I can’t find this story on Kindle, is it already there? |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really loved this story. It's quite the different take on Jane, perhaps unique, that really worked well with the canon characters. Very well done. |
![]() ![]() ![]() You do know that what you say is really fact. There are many authors here and if you contact them, they will say the same to you: Take the story down, leave a few chapters, to prove that it is really your story, and not the property of the person who stole it from you, after you have finished your story. You can publish after you have taken down your story. They really do not ask of you to take down your whole oeuvre. To prove it: take a look at sysa22. Writes a lot (more than you) and takes stories down after they are finished and publishes them after taking them down. That river does not sue her, despite her leaving chapters behind. It does not kill you to ask advise and follow that. But you have to do what you have to do. I never saw your latest story A Sweet Girl updated after chapter 16, so I assume you never finished it here. I hope you sell your books and that you might be able to be satisfied with the income provided by that. I sure did like your stories here and will be sorry to see you go. BTW. you could try to publish your stories at DLC. Many writers do and still have their complete stories there, despite them being published on that River. It is your decision though. I won't be signing up at a free newsletter. I don't like those things. If that means that I miss out on your stories, so be it. Perhaps I buy your stories, perhaps not. Depends on how the reviews are on the River. While I did read everything you published here. But, it is your decision, your stories, and my opinion counts for nothing. You are the writer and you decide what to do with them. It is your full right. I acknowledge this. If this means goodbye, so it is. I will mourn not seeing your chapters coming up and reading them. But there are still many writers here. I'll read their stories. I hope you have a great time writing and publishing. You deserve an accolade as a writer. I enjoyed your stories. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I was trying to download the "sweet girl" via FicHub to read in one batch but it shows it is only 1 chapter. Was that done for a reason? However, if you want comments of the newer -updated version reading online is not good. It is better to have a PDF or other version and be able to make comments on the respective webpage. Otherwise you will not be able to find the mistakes. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I must have missed seeing what you did with the rest of the story so I guess I will never know what happens. I could relate as we have to deal with my husband's mom who has similar serious issues. I am sorry to see you go from FF, but am too busy with RL (family, job, etc.) and writing my own stories to follow individual writers on their own sites. I like being on FF so that we can all be writers and readers together. But wishing you well with your model and hope it works well for you. |
![]() ![]() Holy smokes, this is the worst jane ever. Hoping her comeuppance is on the way. It is interesting to see Lizzy in the usual role for Kitty, which basically makes Jane Lydia. |
![]() ![]() Holy smokes, this is the worst jane ever. Hoping her comeuppance is on the way. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I skipped ahead to the epilogue because your Jane is so very realistic - I’d wondered how you got her down so well! I'm on Chapter 8 now and will return to my reading! |
![]() ![]() Anne, a fucking joke like the rest of the bastard Fitzwilliams |
![]() ![]() Bennet is a bastard with no care for his daughters Elizabeth and the younger ones. Slut Jane realized the excitement with Wickham meant poverty |
![]() ![]() Fucking annoying Mary |
![]() ![]() ![]() Why is Darcy thanked for protecting his future wife. That should be expected, regardless of her “inferior” status. |
![]() ![]() Thanks for sharing your story! I am currently on chapter 8 and noticed Bingley’s dialogue. He wouldn’t ask if Jane is okay but would say Miss Bennet. |
