| Guest chapter 9 . 5/15/2017
After a long moment, Legolas nodded. "You should come and tell me when you feel that way," Thranduil said. "And we can make one another feel better."
Legolas considered this. "What if you are busy being king?"
Thranduil hesitated. He tried to be as honest with his children as he expected them to be with him. "Sometimes then, you will have to wait. But I think that sometimes I will have to tell my advisors that I am busy being Ada." He kissed the top of the blond head. "I love you, Legolas."
This broke me. Thranduil has it so tough ;_;

New reader here, I know I should not get annoyed with Eilian but he is getting on my nerves by behaving this way. I am really enjoying your writings, I don't usually like OCs but you make them work wonderfully. the OCs are so fleshed out as characters which makes sympathizing with them so much easier. I feel awful for Thranduil and I know there will be more hardship for his family to come. You are simply amazing 3

Oh my...a 4 yr old (human yrs) Legolas is just too adorable. His cuteness makes my heart melt. I am so happy you wrote this story. :) I loved seeing Thranduil as a father of a young elfling. There were so many telling and heartbreaking and lovely scenes between the two. Like when Thranduil hand feed a grieving Legolas meat pies or when he pick up a crying Legolas out of the horse stall and comforted him. And the antics of Legolas (and his friends) were hilarious; flinging mud on unsuspecting elfings or being rude to Celuwen. That moment in Annael's house was so sweet. That Legolas finally regained his appetite. That Annael's mother wipped off his sticky little fingers for him. And that Legolas unintentionally smeared jam on Thranduil's cloak. I had so much fun picturing this.

Very nice ending. 'Life is long'... Sometimes it would be nice to be able to say that - to feel like we had more time. I wonder if patience would be easier...
Thanks for writing!

Oh good! They managed to get through that without fighting. Hopefully that's a good sign. And Eilian says he'll be careful and means it (for the moment at least), and Thranduil realizes that Eilian might know a little more than he thinks... Baby steps, boys...
| PSW chapter 8 . 8/11/2015
Ha! I think Eilian is right - they do think it's a bad idea just because it comes from him. Unfortunately, he's mostly the one who backed himself into that corner. But, he did ask 'why does Legolas want a sword' quite a while before the other two...
| PSW chapter 6 . 8/11/2015
Well, hopefully everyone is feeling at least a little more stable (or at least, some of them), and these will be steps in the right direction. Some of this was like taking a long, relieved breath...
I mentioned I liked Maltanaur, right? Still do... :-)
| PSW chapter 4 . 8/11/2015
And, things are still going just swimmingly, it seems. Poor boys (Thranduil included)...
I do like Maltanaur... :-)
| PSW chapter 2 . 8/10/2015
So, everyone's in a bad state right now - understandably, it seems. I suppose it's something they'll just have to work through, hopefully without killing each other in the process. I think Ithildin (hope I spelled that right) needs an outlet - he's suppressing a lot, which can't be a good thing...

I used dotEpub to download this and other stories from Stories of Arda and went looking to see if you had posted somewhere else when I didn't see a way to comment there. Looks like I've managed to read the first couple somewhat out of order but I was still able to follow along really well and I'm really enjoying the family you've created for Legolas. Thranduil, Eilian, and Ithilden would have had a difficult time learning to balance their family and professional relationships with one another even without their loss and it's interesting to watch them work through things.
| HassleCastle chapter 11 . 7/3/2014
Beautifully narrated. Its not easy to have readers care for ocs. Good job.
And legolas's line
'' are you sad for nana. Do not worry you still have me'' was heart touching beautiful and funny all in one. Adorable lego depiction.
