| ThatGirlIsabel chapter 1 . 9/23/2003
I read this knowing damn well it'd make me cry. And guess what? I'm crying. :(
But I'm glad I read this. The emotions and loss are perfectly conveyed. I especially loved this: "We've never had to close this place up before. This building doesn't know what it means to be empty. But I know it. I feel emptier then this place looks even with the last boxes moved out."
| Annie chapter 1 . 8/30/2003

I love the story, it brings back old memories. By the wa, who is narrating the story?
| Boscosbabe55 chapter 1 . 8/12/2003
Nice story...it's amzing what moving from your childhood home does. I went back home when my family moved from my childhood home. I moved away over a year ago, but would go back to that house to visit, now I go to some strange house and avoid going home now
| FaithYokas chapter 1 . 8/12/2003

| PattiL61 chapter 1 . 8/12/2003
Wow! Great stuff. How sad. Sorry you had to feel that loss, but think of all the good times you've had there and remember them fondly. This story must be much how those firefighters and medics felt in the 6 FDNY houses that were forced to close. Great job!
