From the very first publication of this fic I was very sceptical. It is very hard to competently address a problem of abused childhood, and ways of recovery. However, you seem to handle the issue with responsibility. And such approach deserves nothing less but admiration.

I liked this chapter. The way Snape tends to Harry, and the way the Potions Master tries to earn his protege's trust.

The last part has raised a very important HP fandom question. Can you permanently stifle your magical abilities? I have to think about it, and look up for an evidence about people forgetting how to walk, talk, etc. as a response to an abuse.

What I don't like, is a huge time gaps between publications. Can you please cut down the gap?

i think that this story rocks and i hope that you write more because what harry is going through is interesting to me.

your story's coming along wonderfully - i don't think that chapter was slow paced at all, it was just write, and you captured Snape's emotions perfectly (20 points to you! ;)...) you've also portrayed harry marvellously (wow, i can't spell)

You're not going to slow. I like to read about every step in the process of Harry's recovery.

I don't think this chapter was slow at all! I think it was brilliantly executed and very necessary to set up the next year Harry will live under Snape guardianship. Like Snapes thoughts in this: he has thought this all out, has planned this meticulously. You haven't just made him a sappy person when faced with the brutality of Harry's condition, but kept him in character. I could picture every moment of the first meal, Harry sitting so artlessly, slurping up his soup and then licking the pudding bowl. Wonderful. I look forward to Harry's first word which I will bet good money will be "no" just like any toddler. I've read a "child called it." Can we expect the same damaged teen years of anger, misdirection, and loneliness or whill Harry's future not be as bleak thanks to MAGIC! Also, isn't Harry's birthday coming up? And Christmas eventually? I hope you inculd those in your snapshots of the year together. Write more.

OMG! I read 'A Child Called It' and it made me bawl like a baby! Dave's mum was a sicko! My mom was telling me about this real bay whose mother put him in a cage, the poor dear. This is a different story, but I like it. No, I am not some sicko who wishes this to be a Snarry fic, but this would be a great mentor fic.
