Reviews for The Taming Of Harry Potter
anonymous chapter 5 . 10/20/2003
No! This is not going too slow! I am enjoying this pace, and will continue to do so as long as you don't take an inordinate amount of time to update. This story is very interesting, and I would be perfectly content if it continued for thousands of chapters.

Is there going to be slash later, I mean legal-age later? I would really enjoy some HP/SS, but I will still read this story if decide to not include slash or (dare-I say it?) het! OMG! I said it! *Runs away to purify herself*

Barbara chapter 5 . 10/20/2003
Oh, you've udated. I've enjoyed your fic. And thank you for that link to feralchildren. For some reason I rather like reading such stories. As to the one reviewer whom said that in their class such children are permantly damaged-

Well, it (depriving children of human contact) is considered abuse but they can rebound from it provided that it wasn't for an excessively long period of time. Some themselves will report problems of trusting humans (the way they'll speak makes it sound as if they don't think of themselves as human or consider humans a different species.) Others don't. I really believe that what helps the most (and where the docs erred with Genie) is that they need a calm stable loving environment to help them out. Even though that may sound hokey.

Oh, in case anyone wants it; There was a girl here in Texas whom was kept in a closet for what is now estimated to have been about 4 years.

It's off the Andrew Vachss website .com

At last report she was doing remarkable well for having been so abused. Her new parents have been very protective of her privacy, as has (surprisingly) the media.

Well, anyway,...

Keep writing! (_)/

barbarataku chapter 5 . 10/20/2003
I really like the story. The abuse is a familiar theme, but never taken so far in this direction. I like seeing Severus in a caring role. The only thing I really really hate is how this show's up on my computer. It is nerve racking to have to slide the slidey thing back and forth. Keep up the good work, it would be very disappointing if you got bored and Harry wasn't salvaged.
ennui deMorte chapter 5 . 10/20/2003

chips challenge chapter 5 . 10/20/2003
Interesting story. I think the pace is great. Will Harry interact with any other kids his age before he goes to Hogwarts? (If he goes) Will his first friends be the house elves? Write more soon.
CrizInTheWoodwork chapter 5 . 10/20/2003

Jane chapter 5 . 10/20/2003
Snape taking care of Harry is a common plot theme, but you've come up with a unique twist. Enjoying the story, and your portrayal of Harry as severely damaged, but possibly salvageable if he gets the right care.

Looking forward to new installments.
Goldengirl2 chapter 5 . 10/20/2003
