I like what you have written. I have never read a fic about Harry being totally isolated, at least not to this extent. It will be interesting to read about Severus teaching and reminding Harry how to talk and other basic activities that he has forgotten. It is very realistic. Severus will make a good parent.

Ah! wow... so sad! ( poor harry! but i'm so glad that Snape is going to be there to help Harry because dude YOU CANNOT PUT HIM IN ST MUNGO! gr i have said this before and i will say it again... NO mercy for the Dursley's except for Dudley i feel kind of bad for him because he has to deal with the fact that his parents did this to Harry... poor Dudley! you also mentioned i think in the first chapter about the girl who was trapped in her attic for 13 yrs... i'm sort of interested in what happened to her because i love studying psychology... e-mail me because i'm interested... okay long and pointless review again by the way excellent fanfic i started crying when i read this chapter... Fantastic use of dialouge to get around the sometimes akwardness of a reaction scene, especially when you have Harry little more than a feral child. A bit repeditive in some places (the constant repeating of How? Why?) sort of took a bit away from the shock and sadness of the staff. I would have liked to see a bit more concrete ideas of revenge from Hagrid, self-disgust from Minerva for not doing something more, Dumbledore realizing history is repeating itself a la Tom Riddle to some extent. That's my only criticism. Otherwise FANTASTIC! The description of Harry going crazy surrounded by so many people he didn't know till Snape callmed him was great. Snape getting foster custody of Harry makes sense when in so many other fics it is either poorly executed or nothing more than a heavey handed plot device. Harry has to relearn so much. I don't think the use of Snape Manor is overdone. Like how you had Snape not forgetting about Draco. I am looking forward to more. I think the title change is good as well. I do hope you cover vingettes from the rehabilitation and then start on second year! ;) I can still see Harry having some idiosyncracies for the rest of his life, perhaps an avoidance of furniture, preferring bodylanguage than speech, flinching relexivly every time he does magic even if he knows in his head he won't be punished for it, a habit for hiding in small spaces etc. I hope Snape doesn't become a complete marshmellow around Harry. I look forward to more.

I don't know how you deal with wizarding laws but it seems to me that the ministry might be toppled if such a weapon as the fact it allowed the "boy who lived" to disappear without acting was known, especially if his mistreatment was given out to the press.

this is a very interesting story. i am looking forward to see how harry turns out.

i am studing sociology this semester and we went over how children who are treated like harry have irriversible damage. the book was talking about how these children were isolated from infency. i look forward to the rest of the story.

I've just reread the first chapter plus the your A/Ns... and please don't turn this into slash. Harry's 11 years old, emotionally he's much younger. He needs guidance, someone he can trust and rely on, a father-figure who can give him the kind of parental support he never had.
