Aw! Poor Snape, I hope things work out for him in the end. This was a wonderful fic, and I would love to see maybe a one shot about Snapes recovery later.
| Catty chapter 16 . 9/17/2004
I loved your story, it showed things I had suspected about Snape from the moment I read 'Snape's Worst Memory' from the fifth book. I know how emotionally damaging it can be to be teased, taunted, and publically humillated like J. K. Rowling says Snape was. I was amazed at how well written it was. Being an author myself (or at least I try to be :) )I know how hard it can be at times to make each chapter and the story flow correctly but you did a wonderful job of it. I loved how you ended it. I was captivated from beginning to end.

ok I'll admit my thought close and I wanted to cry. (I maintain that I did not cry composer was maintain at all times) Good ending, realistic in the world of imperfections and that happy endings are not a guarantee. It looks like a sequel will be in order. You have left too many lose ends.
I am waiting not so patiently on my end. Thanks for a fun read.
| Nemo Returning chapter 16 . 9/17/2004
Thank you for the wonderful story!
But, please, don't label it as FINISHED.
It's *definitely* in the dire need of a sequel :)
| discordchick chapter 16 . 9/17/2004
Aw...man, that was sad...and not at all what I expected! I wanted him to want to live and to be gone with all problems, not to mention no more Sev-the-dog, anywya I do want a new story though so update soon _
| Charlie Quill chapter 16 . 9/17/2004
I suspected something like this to happen, except I figured the spell would backfire and he would remember but would remain a dog. Then he would stay with Harry in his new flat or something to that affect. :D Makes me want to go write a fan-fanfic. _
Great, I hope there will be another one soon. Or in the making.
| Arafel2 chapter 16 . 9/17/2004
Good chapter. I felt it was a bit rushed as an ending goes. But for a begining to another story it was wonderful. I can't wait to see where you will take this next. Please do update soon.
| Athena Keating-Thomas chapter 16 . 9/17/2004
Wow. I certainly didn't see that coming. I'm highly enjoying this story and am of the hopes that your life goes more smoothly so that you can write out the chapters sooner. ;) Keep up the great work; your descriptions and bringing across the emotion behind everything is extremely well done. You've got an interesting OC, but I hope Lupin will remain in the forefront of the treatment...

Love, love and love this story. You really gave a wonderful climax to this and made it very believable.
The goodbyes were nicely handled. The idea Severus remembered being the dog was great. Harry and Remus' whispered words were a stroke of genius. Not knowing what Harry said, made it more powerful. I believe Harry does know it is Snape and his acceptance of the Snape/dog meant a great deal of Severus.
Your scene of the re-emergence of the man and Severus' words-heartbreaking. You could understand his desire... No expectations and just a quiet life without people bothering him.
The ball... So neat to work that back in to your story. Remus' acceptance of Severus the dog at the end and his 'All right, just for tonight.' was really nice.
I hope to read your next story as this was so nicely done.
| Sinful Wolf chapter 16 . 9/17/2004
OH come on! YOU CAN'T END IT THERE. PLEASE TELL ME THEIR IS GOING TO BE A SEQUEL. PLEASE! THIS IS SUCH A WONDERFUL FIC. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU WROTE A CONTINUATION EVEN A SHORT ONE.
I'M BEGGING HERE! AND I DON'T DO THAT NORMALLY.
does a Sev-the-dog whine.
| Persephone Lupin chapter 16 . 9/17/2004
Ah, I’m so glad there will be another chapter, this really cannot be the end! Beautiful chapter, though it was quite sad how Severus struggled against being changed back. How come he knew about the transformation, he wasn’t supposed to, was he? Otherwise, Albus should have anticipated something like that, as Sev-the-dog he was obviously much happier than in his human form. At least, as an Animagus he has his dog form as a last resort when life just gets too much, probably they don’t need to worry about him taking his life then. But hopefully, the therapy will work and he won’t need it. Will the sequel start right where this one ended? Hope so! Looking so much forward to it!
| kyer chapter 16 . 9/17/2004
That has got to be one of the best Severus stories I have yet to read.
The depression, anger, despair, slow recovery (yet not *total*)... this was better than even the authoress herself could have done. imho.
I give it four 1/2 stars out of four.
| Lupin123 chapter 16 . 9/17/2004
That was a pretty sweet story. I added you to my author alert so that I will know when you start posting the next sequel. So Sev remembers *everything* that happened while he was a dog? Very interesting.
| Rosaleen chapter 16 . 9/17/2004
That was an incredible story. I loved it! The end was so moving and I hope you do write a sequel. I am really looking forward to seeing how Severus's treatment goes. A wonderful, healing story.
| Oya chapter 16 . 9/17/2004
BOOHOO. Its so sad! Poor Sevie! Those therapy sessions, they are working right? He still seems so, sad.
Can't wait for the sequal!
