| Girl On A Yellow Brick Road chapter 1 . 9/9/2009
This is so cute! It's nice to see another Lewis Carroll fan. If this was not inspired by the Walrus and the Carpenter I'll eat my own hat! (which is black by the way)
'The time has come,' the Walrus said,
'To talk of many things:
Of shoes - and ships - and sealing wax -
Of cabbages - and kings -
And why the sea is boiling hot -
And whether pigs have wings.'
This poem is as adorable as pink mittens! Nice work.
| ButterflyMouse chapter 1 . 4/13/2009
I loved this. Its both cute and witty and while there are a couple of forced rhymes, I haven't seen any that sound forced.
There was just one line which jarred with the others; He's black, or I'll eat my hat!
I think that this is both because black and hat sound very similar, but also because it has seven beats while the two lines you rhymed it with have six.
Aside from that, its a really great poem and I loved it.
