I just started reading this fanfic and despite I'm on the first chapter, I can tell this is going to be another favorites of your fanfictions along with 'whispered screams'. Hopefully, you'll make more fan fictions in the future.

I actually read this quite a while back - and Whispered Screams too - and really enjoyed both. And 50 chapters didn't seem long at all when I couldn't stop reading. :) I especially liked how effectively you portrayed the dichotomies of Squall's and Seifer's characters (so strong, yet so vulnerable), the various twists and turns (Ultimecia's sneaky strategy, LagunaxRinoa!), and the ever shifting mood of the story (the last few chapters have an almost dream-like quality). Your writing style has evolved between this story and WS, but both are engaging in their own ways. This was a thought-provoking read. Great job!

*Cries incessantly while holding his phone in shaking hands* This...made me cry. And I will tell you, I've never cried because of a fan fiction before! The last five chapters made me so emotional, I couldn't stop biting my lip in anticipation! When Squall FINALLY told Seifer that he loved him...I screamed and threw my phone across the room, shouting "FINALLY" over and over for a good 45 seconds. And when Squall died...tears spilled. I was so glad when he came back! I was so reluctant to reach the end, when it came down to the last few chapters I let myself read only one a day. *sigh* Anywho, I'm pretty sure this review is making your eyes bleed from the length, so...bye. w

I'd suggest using less redundant adjectives. They make me feel like I'm being talked down to- spoon fed, even. It's kind of insulting

I've reread this fic so many times I have it half memorized!

It's just that good...but you might want to change "shattering teeth" to chattering teeth. I can't believe I didn't catch that in all my readthroughs...

A story that can make me cry my eyes out, smile like crazy, and laugh till my head falls off.

An excellent read.

Heya! I just finished reading this great story in about two or three days and I must say I loved it. I'm a sucker for fluffy stuff and even though at some times I found the angst a bit too much, the fluff parts made up for it. I also found the plot interesting. A very fine story that is definitely worth reading. There were times when I found Squall's psyche a bit too frail but I guess that can be explained with Ultimecia's meddling. Anyways, just saying that although it's been some years, I do hope you decide to write a sequel because I'm curious as to how Squall and Seifer's relationship will evolve _~

I bookmarked this story I don't know how long ago, but I started reading it about three days ago and I swear I've never cried so much from reading. I'm not normally one for fluff or mush, but the way you wrote it was very different from other stories I've read. All in all, I love this story, it's tragedy, beauty, and happiness all wrapped in one and I'm quite glad I took the time to read it.

I understand your love of happy endings. I myself am really turned off by angst and I don't like to read a story and get invested in the characters and then have them die on me. That said, despite the fact I was (obviously) happy Squall came back, this ending annoyed me. I felt it was all a little too Deus Ex Machina - Alexander just suddenly popped up and saved Squall from death at the last minute with little or no foreshadowing. It was abrupt, unexplained, and just plain bad storytelling. That was the only thing that let this good story down.

I always loved Seifer/Squall mostly because I lover Seiner (Seifer/Hayner) from Kingdom Hearts, and I love Cleon(Cloud/Leon(squall)) so I basically explored FF VI and fell in love.

So then I fell in love with SeiferSquall, and this is by far the best FF VI fic I have read.

Okay... scrap that. THE BEST FIC EVER.
