Great closing. The previous chapter stopped with the end of a story between them. In this one, you ended with the potential for a new relationship to be built. I really like the fact you finished this story in an area that was open for your readers to use their imagination and decide what would happen afterwards. A very uncommon epilogue, but very unique. Most authors end the story at a finishing point. The couple was formed and their is now more room for growth as a pair. This one is quite different, which I greatly enjoyed.
Also, I thought it was nice how you allowed Irulan to have her room after the tragedy involving Baeron. Realistically, I believe she would have actually needed time and space to cope with the death of her close friend. It's shows a great deal of strength and independence on Irulan's part to not throw herself back into the arms of Legolas right away. That wouldn't have been true to the Aragorn's line. He had a bit of a lonely streak in his personality as well. Also, Irulan going straight to Legolas in that situation would have been a sign of dependence and weakness, which also isn't something the King wouldn't have done. I'm glad you allowed her to remain true to his line.
Well. I really enjoyed this story and I'm really looking forward to Irulan 3.
Note: It would be interesting if you wrote a story and reversed Irulan's and Legolas' roles. Make Irulan the domineering character and Legolas the complying one. That would be quite a change in character!

Legolas is a stalker. That's illegal, but well, he is an Elf. I would love it if Elves lived amongst us today. Wouldn't it be wonderful. Anyway, I love your story and I noticed that it was almost complete. Does that mean that you are going to start working on Irulan II again? I hope so. Anyway, I hope that you continue with all of your wonderful stories. Your are a truly talented writer.

I swear I cried with Irulan...I felt her pain and Legolas' pain and your descriptions were so vivid in my mind the way you described the elf-song i could feel it in my mind and around me and I could feel the desperation to get in the tomb. I could FEEL it all. You have a gift far more talented than i have been used to. I only wish to read more of your stories

Yay! Magnificent. I was incredibly pleased by this epilogue, and the "Hope" that it carried with it. Legolas' persistence will win her, and I also enjoyed the way you tied up the loose ends with the gruesome twosome, Michael and Elizabeth. Charity work! Perfect. I rejoiced at the ending that you've brought us to. It wasn't too perfect and neatly tied up as with some romances, and I thought that fitting because of the sense of realism it offered. Yet hope remains... A wonderful ending to a lovely story.
All I can say now, is that I'm looking forward to Irulan I. Until that day, Raider-k

I couldn't believe how incredibly sad chapter 26 made me. I was depressed for a days. I was bitchy to everyone because they didn't understand. It felt so real. Everytime you mentioned Baeron I would break down and cry. Ahh here I go again with the tears...:(
However, I am ecstatic that you brought back Hope because I needed her, I feel much better now.
To have an effect like your stories have on so many people is absolutely amazing. You are truly talented.
I was with you since the beginning of your journey with Irulan, and I will be with you until the end which, I hope won't be for a long time. I feel privilidged to be a part of your original group of fans. We were such a small group back then...now look at us, too many to count... You are incredible. Oh my god. I think that is the first story I have EVER read (excepting Maragret Mitchell's masterpiece) where the two main characters don't end up together. Bless you Darma for Irulan's upredicatable heart (and yes, I know, Legolas seems to be determined to get her and they MIGHT end up together, but its the idea that she broke away him in the first place that matters.)
Critisim: Your epliogue was kind of redundant in the sense that you had three almost, the one about the woman writing the stories, the one in New York and the final simile of the heart and the fortress. I liked all of them (especially the NY) but you might have cut out one. I don't really know- you're the author- not me.
COmpliment: And I would just like to say the best idea (in my eyes) was Baeron and Bentanta...I'm not even going to go into detail on that subject- I think I would bored you all- but oh god, that was so sweet, sad, sad, sad a couple more times...and just beautifully written.

Oh my gosh! This is a great resolution! It's not really even a resolution at all, and that's what is so wonderful about it. My friend and I were worried out of our minds that Legolas would die or similar, but I love this! It isnt the sort of ending i was expecting, or would have even imagined, but i guess it works. I'm truly glad you haven't ended them and that legolas is still willing to fight.
I hope she does give in soon.
I cant say it enough times but...i loved this story so much.
There were confusing parts, granted, but it was soo...beautiful!
In it's own dark way, about Baeron's death, elizabeth and michael, Irulan and legolas, Haldir and Anne (which seems to be the only loose ends you haven't tied yet) and Bentanta.
Every little bit of it was made this a true masterpiece.
