Maran Zelde chapter 12 . 8/25/2005 The bee suits are a nice touch; they bring the fic more into the realm of the TV show...If that makes any sense. Maran is tired. I was actually rooting for Gaz up until she got enjoyment from threatening the poor junior scientist guy. At that point I remembered what a sadistic person she is. I was still rooting for her to let Dib out, though, even if she's probably only doing it because Dib might be her only chance at freeing her from the mind control device. |
ssh chapter 12 . 8/15/2005 awesome story. i can't wait until the next update! |
Blade chapter 12 . 8/9/2005 wow its getting really good! I rooting for Zim, i hope his plan works! :) |
Dibsthe1 chapter 12 . 8/2/2005 That's a very sad picture of Dib standing in the rain in his underwear, hoping to catch a cold so his father might pay more attention to him. Well, Dib is out. I wonder what he's going to do now. I'm glad you're updating regularly; the plot is definitely thickening! I don't blame Dib one bit for being so suspicious, considering the way she's been treating him throughout this fic... to his face at any rate... the completely unnecessarily overbearing way she chose to tell him Zim was at the door, sneering at him to "suck up" cracked ribs... Something is becoming clearer for me. I was just starting to believe it wasn't Gaz I hated but the way she treats Dib. But even here, where she is breaking him out of captivity, I find her every bit as repulsive as ever. "At least it wasn't him this time." That's a lot of it right there. The fact that she just this once happens to be using her soulless, reptilian tactics FOR Dib instead of ON him screams that she'll be just as quick about turning this same savagery against him the next time he does something doomworthy... such as daring to say ouch when she wants silence. And she enjoys intimidating the poor lab guy who just happened to be the first one she got to. For a vet to put down a horse with a broken leg is one thing. For this same vet to ENJOY putting down the horse with the broken leg... well, that's quite another. Her condescension, her irritability, her effortless bullying, her ongoing inability to look at anything or anybody without thinking she needs to GLARE! and her preposterously counterproductive sadism (after going to all that trouble to set someone free, she then turns right around and derives a miserable, petty, cheap and ratty thrill at that someone's allergy!) all add up to loathsome. Personally, having to be constantly asking the question, "WHO are you today?" would leave me too confused and too exhausted to want to have a thing to do with such people... uh, I mean, with such a person. I would even say that owing one's very life to such people/a person would scarcely be worth it. |
Someonetoolazytologinrightnow chapter 12 . 8/2/2005 YE! (That was a squeal. Of happiness. Just in case you didn't know. Or something like that.) I love this story. So much. The suspense is simply so evil, you're like a mastermind attempting to conquer the world through the use of mind-controlling fanfiction! Heh, I'm a tad too hyper. Anywho, please update soon! I eagerly await the next chapter. :) |
Tyoria chapter 12 . 7/31/2005 In a word - awesome. Dib will always be my favorite, but I like what you do with Gaz here too. Losing control probably WOULD be her worst fear, and I just like the idea that now she has her own reasons to despise Zim - instead of making her sympathetic just because she suddenly feels sorry for Dib. Anyway, you rule. |
Jinnai chapter 12 . 7/29/2005 An enthralling story, one that keep me reading. I will be awaitinng the next chapter. |
Maran Zelde chapter 11 . 7/28/2005 I wonder what Zim's planning. Is there really gonna be an invasion? I agree that Zim thinking Dib would have made a good Irken is very close to a compliment...It shows that Zim still respects Dib even though he's done something very nasty to him and his 'family.' There are some nice descriptions in this chapter, especially of the neighbors. I also like Gir in his chapter-he's cute and funny, but not over the top. And Zim has some good insight on the "Room with a Moose" incident. Great chapter. Looking forward to the next one. |
HMeko chapter 11 . 7/18/2005 Awesome. The intense detail is something many authors lack; it brings so much more to a story. I enjoyed this chapter very much, and I look forward to the next one. This is one story that's worth waiting for. ~HK |
DeadDeadDeadUnused chapter 11 . 7/18/2005 Sounds, er, reads pretty well. I like it. |
Dibsthe1 chapter 11 . 7/15/2005 THAT's what being under somebody's thumb feels like, Gaz. Looks good on you. Zim saying Dib would have made a formidable Irken is the closest thing to a compliment we're ever going to hear from Zim. I wonder if anybody in the neighbourhood even noticed Zim's pak legs? I'm not a big fan of Gir, but I really liked this bit... the robot's description of the donuts was as hysterical as Zim's deciding to answer the ridiculous question with a "maybe," so Gir won't have a tantrum. The reference to the ARWAM episode reminded me of a description of Dib I read somewhere on the net that claims he's "disdainful" of his classmates; considering how they treat him, a little disdain toward these cruel and myopic creatures now and then is the very least he can ask. Very good explanation for why Dib persists in saving the very people who scorn him. It also indicates why he feels so driven to win every single struggle with Zim. I thought at first that Zim being so sure he was looking out over the neighborhood for the last time meant he must be plotting its destruction. "Invasion he would have to stave off"? Is there a real invasion we don't know about yet, or is this just the Irken invasion Zim keeps expecting but which never seems to see? And how is Dib doing? May we please pay him a visit in the next chapter? |
Naturally High chapter 11 . 7/15/2005 Oh wow. . .That's so descrptive. . .And it's such a powerful story with a great plot! I LOVE it! You are a great author! I can't WAIT to read more! Update soon! |
Hoppo chapter 11 . 7/15/2005 Wow...what an amazing story! I'm slightly confused, but I'm still wowed by this. I'm a bit disappointed by the way Membrane acted in the previous chapter, but hey, that's probably IC. All in all, a very awesome story! |
EvilTomato chapter 11 . 7/15/2005 This stories great! And it has lots and lots of details! Details good. :D Membrane must be under mind control, or else he's another kind of idiot to think Dib's insane after THAT. As for Gaz...I do not envy Zim. At all. But yay! The suspense! I can't wait for the next chapter. How long until the Tallest come? I don't think even a week passed in it...oh, don't tell me Dib is going to have to spend almost four months in an asylum? Please update soon. n_n |
Ashsema chapter 10 . 6/10/2005 Greetings Senri, In the face of such obvious evidence, how can the professor Not believe Dib? Is he as blind as the rest of them? Or is he trying to protect Dib? I suppose it could be either way, though with Membrane’s tunnel vision of science, it is probably the former. I wonder if this is considered a victory for Zim? Poor Doomed Dib! -_- Looking forward to finding out the answers. - Ashsema |
