| Selective scifi junkie chapter 1 . 6/27
Oh gosh, I might have to write this out in full.
The thing is, it's entirely feasible. The 'serum' is described as 'brain fluid' by someone at some point, which suggests to me it's CSF. CSF can carry disease, notably meningitises. If Jason had a chronic meningitis which he'd kind of compensated to, that might explain his personality issues and difficulty in controlling his powers. Transfer CSF from him to another mutant, you could get raging meningitises, which, of course, in Scott could have dramatic effects on his optic blasts, because the sclera, the covering of the eyes, is a single continuous sheet with the meninges, in which meningitis usually resides.

Oh, please, not the Legacy Virus...that was the freakin' most depressing thing ever in the comics...Evil mutants and good mutants dying slowly and painfully together...Why, Marvel Comics, why?
| CaptainTish chapter 1 . 10/22/2003
Wow. Intriguing. Very well-written and sad. Good job.
| Rageful Jewel chapter 1 . 10/22/2003
That sucks. That damn serum end up creating the Legacy Virus. Interesting way of bring it to the movie universe.
You know this the second fic that I read in which the serum Stryker used caused the people who had it injected to them get sick. Though I don't think that the first story that I read had such severe symptoms. Then again I could be wrong. It's been months since I read the first story.
This story also bring something else to mind. If both Kurt and Scott got the Legacy Virus from that damn serum wouldn't that mean that Magneto also got the disease? I know the answer is obvious but he wasn't mention in this story so a reader has to wonder how Magneto was effected by it.
Well, this was a good story and hopeful you do something about how dealt with the virus.
