I know it's been years since this was updated but it is such a good and heartbreaking story that I hope at some point in the near future someone gets the chance to finish it whether the author or through adoption. I am glad Minerva was there to begin helping Severus and that the others don't come storming in and put that to waste.

Know what!? This is the 3rd time I read this story and still in every time make me feel the same emotions :(
I come back and hope that you updated I really wish to continue reading it and know what will happen, the only story I read so far that gave every character such amazing feeling it is just like living every moment with them.

While I would have far preferred Severus' father to be Muggle, like in canon and his soul undamaged by the use of Avada Kedavra (I really think he never did kill, until Dumbledore) or participating in those dreadful Death Eater activities, your version is intriguing.

There are no words for the horror and anger I feel on Severus' behalf for what Dumbledore and the Order have done. They crossed the line so far that there isn't a line left anymore.

What Dumbledore did was way way worse than a simple betrayal of trust, way worse than torture. There are no words that adequately describe the cruelty for me.

Honestly, they would DESERVE Severus betraying all their secrets to Voldemort. Lucky for them, Severus isn't that kind of person. He isn't the monster Moody still insists on seeing him as, never was and NEVER will be. He is a far better man than them, either of them.

At least Harry stopped it, in the end. He has his heart in the right place. I also love Minerva's role in Severus' life and how she is now comforting him. She is understandably furious and I hope she will let loose of that fury, too. Severus needs someone in his corner, already. He deserves to be protected, shielded. Please, don't make the poor boy have to spy for these people again. His "debt" to Dumbledore has been repaid a thousand times over. He has suffered enough. His actions have already helped shaped the war in favour of the light side- who are really not good people either...

I admit, I would love to see Minerva consulting Poppy and the medi-witch, realising Severus is suffering too much with his mind completely broken, using a healing method/spell that de-ages Severus. Maybe to a five-year old? I would then love for Minerva to adopt him and protect him from the Order, Dumbledore and anyone who may want to hurt him. I want her to stop putting her trust in Dumbledore the way she has and really make him feel her disappointment and anger. I would also love Harry to involve himself, becoming a protector/supporter and continue to show his utter disgust with the adults actions.
Even without de-aging, I want someone to finally be on Severus side, to protect him from monsters like Dumbledore, Voldemort, Moody, the rest of the Order isn't much better either... Preferably, I would like Minerva to be that someone. No romantic pairing between the two though.

But whatever happens, the most important thing is that this story is continued.

Poor Severus. I hate Dumbledore for what he did to him.
I would have loved to read more of this great fanfiction, but after more than a decade of inactivity it is probably safe to say that this is a dead story... bummer!

I've always hated him, but this just made it soo much worse...! Excuse my profanity, I just really hate him right now, mainly because his character is not ooc here. Our sweet old gramps dumbles would do this!

I really really love this story, especially your characterization of Snape and McGonagall, the Malfoys too. You might've long forgotten about it now considering you last updated in '04, regardless though it really is amazing.
