  Guest chapter 6 . 1/8/2017 OMG, love the Metallica shot out. I myself am a metal head. I can imagine Snape listening and appreciating some of the songs. He grew up in the muggle world and then his anger, he could relate to the metal music of the time. Anyway I am enjoying this story so far. |

| Hufflepuff chapter 1 . 1/28/2016 This was amazing and so beautifully written! I love how you have mastered the voices of both Hermione and Snape in their many-colored moods and attitudes. Some nice little touches: Snape's relation to Medea and his pet being a snake, Hermione's angry CD, and the references to Shakespeare. As much as I found it difficult to imagine Hermione reading all the way to "Anne of Windy Poplars," I loved the Katherine Brooke reference. The literary parallel really does make Snape understandable as you seem to have gotten into his psyche in a way that the books don't. Although others might disagree, I feel like the backstory about his parents makes him so much more understandable and believable. I felt like I could empathize with why he joined the Death Eaters and got into so much trouble as an adult. Seeing as putting these two vastly age-discrepant characters together, them still being teacher and student, was pretty edgy, I thought you handled it believably as well. Kudos! Favorite line: "This is sunrise." |
