Ah, could all be lies. Even so, Jack would tell you it's the story that counts; and as stories go, it was a fine one.
my favourite part - jack would approve ;)
| AA121 chapter 6 . 6/7/2007
aye, a very fine story it is.
| VeroniqueClaire chapter 3 . 9/27/2006
“Objectors will be shot.”
...Is a fantastic line. Your Jack and Elizabeth remind me of Bonnie and Clyde, or F. Scott and Zelda, or some other freewheeling self-starring set of stars. Lovely. Well written.
| Blitzcat chapter 6 . 8/8/2006
I loved it!
I think it's one of the only fics I've read that captures Jack's exuberence. I loved his proposal - I can just imagine him doing it that way - not asking exactly, but just making a statement and passing out! :)
It was a perfect blend of happy memories, chilling encounters and a touch of sadness: Elizabeth remembering the miscarriage was very touching - as was the understated description of Jacks reaction to it. It's a shame because I would have liked to read your description of Jack as a father.
All in all - pure contentment described in beautifully understated, simple prose.
Thanks for sharing!

The end...my God, the end was brilliant!
| celinae chapter 6 . 2/10/2006
I'm not really a fan of Pirates fanfic, but this has converted me.
A mix of sweetness and sadness and amazing language, a story that definitely deserves a fav. But really, it's going to be your fault I'm addicted to JackElizabeth pairings! XDXD
| Dawns Heart chapter 6 . 1/17/2006
Love the ending darling, it's a lovely story.
| geekmama chapter 6 . 3/28/2005
Not sure I have anything coherent to add here. You made them human, and more than human. Great work.
| geekmama chapter 3 . 3/28/2005
"Jack, who claimed in moments of extreme inebriation to have risen from the sea like Venus, only “better armed”."
What a great line. Also...
" “I do indeed.” said Jack. He turned to the small audience. “Objectors will be shot.” "
Also, the Governor's initially reluctant appearance at the wedding. Dancing on the table, indeed!
Hereswith sent me here. Your fic is [insert effusive superlative of your choice here].
| BlackJackSilver chapter 6 . 8/22/2004
That was a fine story too. Funny and sad in parts, and always gorgeously written. Any idea how much I have to read to find a writer like you? Me neither, but it's a lot. Am adding you to my alerts.

That was completely and utterly gorgeous! The best I've ever read for this pairing. Fantastic work! I enjoyed this very much!

Oh dear... Very, very beautiful... I've said it before and I'll say it again: haunting. And poignant. And poetic. Thanks! :-)
