BrilliantLady chapter 1 . 3/5/2017 This fic I remembered as another much enjoyed story too, though I'd forgotten about the powers swap! :) |
Sorry I Abandoned This Account chapter 1 . 5/28/2011 I love this story because I always imagined Jean and Scott as Xavier and Magneto's parents. They have that old couple's vibe. I have to admit, I started getting really confused halfway through and then I had to read the author's note and then read it all over again so that it would make sense. Great job. I really did adore this. |
kiragecko chapter 1 . 9/18/2006 I've read a lot of your stuff on other sites but this is the first time I've found it here. As always, amazing |
Shiro Ryuu chapter 1 . 6/17/2006 Aw, this deserves more reviews. Though I must admit, as cool as the powerswapping is, I think it would've been better in a different story, something longer perhaps. I would love to see how those powerswaps would affect the plot if you tried to rewrite the movies like this... But in this case, the switches provided an interesting framework, but I think they were kind of distracting as well; I think this story could have held itself up well enough without them. *shrug* But anyway, pretty interesting, very well written and all. The idea of the weather mimicking Charles' feelings was particularly touching t_t |
Brenda Shaffer-Shiring chapter 1 . 12/26/2003 The more things change, the more they remain the same, eh? While it's fascinating to see how the characters' canonical histories (Scott's head injury, Erik's time in Auschwitz) have affected their ability to use/control their altered powers, it's also interesting to see how much they are essentially the same men despite those altered powers - and despite the altered relationship between Erik and Charles. The use of that brief quotation from "God Loves, Man Kills" neatly underlines the similarities. |
