| hey chapter 1 . 3/13/2012
Loved the humour! Hobbits invented the button...? That does explain Bilbo's fondness for them.
| Grimmylover101 chapter 1 . 10/24/2011
I cannot stop laughing! LMAO!
For no matter how he writhed about under me, the bow would never come untied until one wanted it to. Or unless," Faramir added with a small grin, "a man pulled it with his teeth." - This is the most epic sentence i've ever read and I loved it XDDDDDD Friggin awesome story 8DDDDDD

You are my favourite. Quite simply put, you are an amazing writer, your style is impeccable, and there is a constant undertone of sly, suggestive, EVIL. Your diction is wondrous as are your little scenes, interviews, if you will, inserted seemingly at random into the well thought-out and intriguing narrative with impish glee - or perhaps the glee bit is only inspired in the reader. See, your tone and mine have become indistinguishable to me!
I also seem to have fallen face-first into my essay mode of speech. Understandable, since your... story... narrative... prose... THING OF BEAUTY... is written after a similar fashion.
Funnily enough, I hadn't even noticed Frodo's skivvies in Return of the King. Now I must re-watch it. Which of course means that I'll be re-watching the entire series of movies, beginning with the animated version of The Hobbit and ending with the live-action version of RotK, starring your fic-victim and mine, Elijah Wood. It is going to be a long night.
This is also my first plunge into the world of LotR fanfiction. I'd first begun the series at the age of approximately four, and watched the movies accordingly as they came out. Being under the age of 12 for all the releases (since 13 was the age at which I discovered the joy that is slash), I did not look for shipping targets. I do so now, and this lead to my discovery of the ffnet LotR category and therefore you. Which means I have never read your work before. Shame, shame, SHAME upon me. So, point explained in an extremely roundabout and annoying way, I'll be reading everything else you've ever written in short order.
I realise that this... dissertation(?)... is most likely complete and will not be updating, but damn it all to hell, I'm hitting the "Subscribe to Story (Alert)" button, anyway. I do so only because I wish to barrage your e-mail inbox with my love of your writing. Bwa. Ha. Ha.
I will also be sending this to every friend I have had in the last four years. Don't worry; your inbox isn't the only one being spammed at this moment.
Best of wishes, including one of luck,

Oh lord save me from the randomness and pure hilarity of such dry humour.

This has got to be the most amusing and most original fic I've read in a long time! As soon as I read this I actualy had to go back and re-watch that clip! I don't believe that was actualy in the movie! Thats so awsome! Great work!
| RadcliffePotter chapter 1 . 5/28/2008

| Notabluemaia chapter 1 . 2/24/2006
Hee! Mews had just posted the inspirational pic, which I had not realized revealed quite so much detail, and linked to this! Delightful, Lily - thank you! I had no idea what I was missing. Do you suppose that every one of those film caps would be so revealing?
Still giggling - wonderful 'erudite' description on the evolution and necessity of bows...

I was inspired by a picture of Frodo in Cirith Ungol to re-read How Frodo Got His Bow, and to pimp it in my Froday post. It remains one of my all time favorite fanfics. I adore the descriptions of Frodo's drawers and his "male fripperies." And you have Ioreth's voice to perfection, as well. Just thought you'd want to know I read it again, and I still adore it.
