I'm back to read this series for 4th or 5th time now. It's still one of my favourites and the action, angst and hurt/comfort of these stories is what made me most eager to write fanfiction myself. Thank you for writing them.

How could Grimmauld place be attacked when it was under the Fedalius? And I don't care, they never would allow Draco at the Burrow. He's an evil git and can't be trusted as you have shown.

totally unreal to have Ron guard Harry as he's under age and can't use magic without triggering the trace.

Okay, this needs to be said. If Albus forced Harry back to the Dursleys knowing that his vaulted blood wards weren't working, he certainly wasn't the wise, intelligent Wizard he was supposed to be. According to Rowling, the wards were supposed to keep anyone with ill intent towards Harry and his family from entering the house so how did thew lady selling the poison cake mix get in? Plus the Death Eaters? Since it is obvious that the wards are no longer working, there is no reason to force Harry back to Privet Dr. In fact it is dangerous to do so.

I love that Harry processes his trauma through silence. It made it feel very real that what he had been through at the Manor is not something he can just easily put behind him. I like too that his struggles continue even into the sequel. It also provides delicious angst for the rest of our characters as they worry over our boy ;) It’s my crack!

“Bloody Manor” has got to be one of the greatest escape scenes in any HP fanfiction I’ve ever read. It never fails to send me into a panic for poor Harry, but he is so resourceful and determined even despite the tortured state he’s in, and, thank God Snape is quietly protecting him. It is SUCH an exciting chapter, and I love the wild goose chase with disillusioned Harry on the broom. You describe everything as if we are truly there. I seriously hold other stories’ escape scenes to this caliber, and few compare. “Healing Harry” is such a cool continuation - I love that Harry has to heal his own arm. I also love that Dumbledore sends him comforting dreams to get him through. So much fabulousness :D

Ah yes :) The whole Weasley clan gets involved! May I just say not only do you write Ginny fabulously but the rest of her family as well! Seriously, I love the humor and distinct personalities you’ve given them all. I remember this chapter very fondly and I like that it goes from mysterious/suspenseful to hilarious to terrifying. Great great job.

I first read this story years and years ago, and have come back numerous times since. I was starting to forget plot points so I knew I was due for another re-read ;) I just want to tell you how much this story and its amazing sequel mean to me FIFTEEN (!) years later. They are truly some of my most favorite on this whole site, and that’s saying something! The characters are fleshed out SO well. I am particularly fond of your renditions of Harry, Dumbledore, Snape and Ginny. I remember your funny and feisty Ginny was what got me hooked on H/G long before the books even made it a thing. Her letters to Harry are such fun to read. The poisoning storyline (and future Malfoy Manor arc) are STAPLE action/angst moments that stay with me long after reading because damn, you know how to put a reader on the edge of her seat! I always loved the hospital wing stuff afterward. You have such a gift and I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for these stories that mean so much to me. They are classics! And quite honestly, in some ways I like them better than the real books! The Seven Deadly Sins plot in the next story for example - that was truly inspired/original! So yeah... YOU ROCK, and don’t ever forget it ;)
