What was that. Whatwasthatwhatwasthatwhatwasthat.

That's all I've been able to repeat for the past minute after reading this. The introspection and how well Sakura is characterized here really stands out. The insecurity, the fears, the feeling of having less worth than your teammates because for all that Sakura became a strong shinobi of her own right later, she was middling, falling behind Naruto and Sasuke as Genin. If she never got that boost in resolve in the Chunin exam, never kept pushing forward with that resolve, or never learned under Tsunade, I'd imagine Sakura to be exactly as you've portrayed here. A Chunin, a rather average one at that, with some skill for genjutsu (or maybe iryojutsu if she chose to work in the hospital).

I love the way you portrayed her uncertainty here- how to move on with her life in both emotional matters and in terms of life choices.

Then her interactions with Kakashi- it seems so fitting for both their characters. It's captivating: how they flow, how Sakura's immaturity and maturity show, and how Kakashi responds.

Just as I appreciate how real Sakura's feelings are, I also adored how enigmatic Kakashi comes off as. He isn't just some tortured soul who flinches at every attempt for closer intimacy. He's a jounin and her older sensei, and he has the advantage in their interactions in every way. He is more mature than her in both experience and emotional matters (no matter how shut off he may be).

This is one of the most well-written stories that depict Sakura and Kakashi as they really are. The characterization is on point. Thank you so much for writing and sharing this with us.

"I like this as the end" estoy colapsando, quiero más! :)
LIQUIDCELL chapter 3 . 10/3/2021
Kakashi was the perverted gentleman. He was the type who would wait for someone worth waiting for.
As for Sakura, she definitely needs confidence and maturity -

-It has been a while since you wrote this. And the Naruto world imm 2021 has been butchered by Boruto! LOL
LIQUIDCELL chapter 2 . 10/3/2021
Boruto butchered out Naruto characters. It was great that they want to make money out of us, fans, but the pairing could have been better.

They have gone, full DRAGON BALL Z and aliens too.

wtf.

Great story by the way... and thank you!

This story reads kind of poetically. I like the mood and the flow of it.

Nostalgia, damn, so this is where I left it
RaquelBelle chapter 6 . 1/19/2019
This was simply breathtakingly beautiful. I don’t have words to describe all the feelings this simple, but incredible fanfic, elicited in my poor shipper heart. The way you describe her feelings and HIS feelings never felt out of character. The slow burn was so impeccably done. It never felt rushed. I loved all of it. I’ve never liked a kakasaku fic as much as i liked this one. I very much liked how careful you approached the underage student and sensei relationship. I know it is a problematic subject, but you did an incredible job at it and it never felt dirty. I’ve been looking for a fic that depicted both characters as well as you have. So thank you very much for this wonderful piece! I wish you’d bring a sequel, then again, i think it’s perfect the way you left it.

The story looks good so far. Have to admit I find the author note funny

As much as I want to read more of this awesome story, how you ended it was for me quite breathtaking.
sahi.sony.1 chapter 3 . 1/7/2018
I too am alergic to Sasusaku. Get rid of it.
Obsessed Lass chapter 5 . 12/30/2017
This was beautiful. I loved the way you have showed the mood of transitionthe lingering feelings of disappointment, the yearning for something that will make you feel alive, the hesitation and confusionthe whole picture is equally fascinating and believable. I personally don't like kakasaku stories where everything is all rainbows and sunshine. The progression of their relationship cannot be without an element of conflict and you have wonderfully acknowledged that in your work.

I loved the tone of uncertainty underlying Sakura's feelings towards Kakashi. It might evolve into something enduring but it might not as well. There's attraction but there's a lot of other thingsSakura cherishing the new touch of exclusivity was really insightful. Sakura has had always her doubts about being superfluous and insinuating that her insecurity might have an influence upon her nascent romance is a lovely touch.

I felt that the story floundered at times when Sakura was trying to articulate her feelings to Kakashi but other than that (and the tad unsightly formatting) the story was truly amazing. I wonder if you'll even get to see this review but still thank you so much for such a wonderful piece of writing.

Wow this simply amazing! Even without the quotation marks to signify dialogue, you captured the whole feeling beautifully. I love how you write Sakura as normal teenager who has doubts and insecurities.

As great as he is, Kishimoto definitely fails at female character development. Guess it just goes to say that males can never understand females lol

I really wish there was more but at the same time this ending is perfect.
