|Reviews for What Sam Knew|
| Trust No One chapter 1 . 1/26/2004
10 out of 10! Ah, but wanderlust has no cure, does it? Even when Frodo's other hurts have stopped bothering him, he will never heal of this particular 'affliction'. Your Sam was brilliantly portrayed, like the now older, even wiser one. Frodo's zest for life had me misty-eyed, it was so welcome and refreshing! Great job and thanks for the wonderful read! TNO

I thought Tolkien's ending was bittersweet, but this was so beautiful and lovely and sad, almost dark even. You've outdone the Prof, no doubt. Not exactly how I've always imagined the Undying Lands, but very wonderfully written. How could Frodo leave Sam so often though, and for so long? I don't care what Gandalf says, though it was nice of him to try to make it less painful for Sam. Poor Sam!
But when will you be updating the Claiming of the Ring? I hope you haven't abandoned that story, I'm really eager to see how it turns out.

This is splendid. A truly refreshing change from the juvenile writing style which pervades our fanfiction archives of late.
It really brought a tear to my eye; I love your bittersweet portrayal of the Undying Lands. 100% gold.
