That was a wonderful vignette of the interaction between father and son. I think the remark about the young elfling being more impressed with his father’s reaction, the light reflected upon his face by the Two Trees, poignant and firmly authentic in the minds of any youngster who worships his father. ;-) You show a universal theme that carries across to all races and highly identifiable.

The last two lines were nearly heartwrenching. They were so cute, but at the same time so ironic. I suppose if Maedhros was looking back on this from the past he would see his father in somewhat of a different light. Very nice.
