The last line is really poignant, and the whole thing is incredible! Maybe that's just me (because I adore Remus) but I really like this. :)

The Moon Man. Are you talking about Oswald Dark in "A Tangled Web" by L.M. Montgomery? This is another wonderful story and about one of my favourite characters too. Very sweet and poignant...makes me want to give him a hug and tell him that he is loved. Really nicely done with beautiful imagery.
