Themis56 chapter 7 . 3/5/2004
Wo! Another good one, Ricki, very good indeed. Onc again, the style is tight and lucid, though I must say the content of this story is even creepier than the first part. I forgot how...creepy Trigun can be, especially the manga. Knives is once creepy-
Knives fans: Shut yo' mouth!
Me: But I'm only talkin' 'bout Knives!
KF: We can dig it.
Bad joke reference aside, I really liked this. I especially liked Helen and how she was tied at the very end to mah gal Milly. One of Helen's descendants is Vash's companion! Nice touch. :)
Can't wait for Part Three. And then...::bug bug bug bug bugs you about more Milly AU I MUST HAVE MORE bug bug bug::
I'll go now. I shouldn't type these things after eating a box of Junior Mints. Sayanora, Trigun Sage!
Magnet-Rose chapter 7 . 2/18/2004
I juststarted readin the manga, but from what Silverarm has said you did a reat job and I'm inclined to belive silverarm. So Great job,It definiatly was an interesting read.
:)
Yma chapter 7 . 2/18/2004
That was quite good. The story was great as was the characterisation, though it lacked... I don't know... it seemed to lack a spark of something? If you know what I mean? Ach, I can't put it into words. Suffice to say that yes, this is a very good story, technically flawless if a little lacking emotionally for some reason. Still, it's good enough that I enjoyed it, I hope you do more!
the old fart chapter 7 . 2/18/2004
Very nice!
silverarm chapter 7 . 2/17/2004
Amazing!
So, an overall review after finishing the entire story:
I really admire the way you wove such a tight and cohesive story with just enough detail to make the action clear but not enough to bog it down. I think you've mastered manga Knives's character and speech patterns perfectly (I felt shivers as I read chapter 6), and the epilogue ties everything neatly back together with what is happening in "present" day.
In short, I really enjoyed this fic and look forward to any other projects you may have in the planning stages.
silverarm chapter 5 . 2/16/2004
And the plot thickens...
I'm glad that you've pulled Knives into this even further. His perspective on events really does a lot to flesh out the story as a whole.
Patiently awaiting chapter 6.
silverarm chapter 4 . 2/11/2004
Another superb installment.
Yma chapter 3 . 2/11/2004
Hi! A very good story so far, I'm looking forward to reading more of this. I like the way you're building up on the past and suggesting reasons why Vash is like he is. Facinating.
Two small notes, 1: It might be good to menion that this is based more on the Manga than the Anime. It's not a big thing but it would be good to let people know.
2: You do realize you've got your settings to only take in Logged in Reviewes, don't you? No annonymous Reviews? You probably do, but I just wanted to make sure because, when I was starging up my account on FFN, I didn't realize I had that box checked and probably lost out on a few reviews because of it. If you know about this then I apologise.
Anyway, a good story. More soon, I hope.
silverarm chapter 3 . 2/9/2004
Wow! Another fantastic installment.
I was a little bit surprised that Vash knew how to handle a broken bone, but then I guess there wasn't much else to do on the ship besides read medical books and whatever else was at hand.
Hey, where are all the other reviewers? *Shakes fist at lurking members* This is too good to be ignored!
silverarm chapter 2 . 2/6/2004
Good, good...
I like your writing style quite a bit, as well as the subject. There are some pretty big gaps in the story after the Great Fall, and you're not contradicting the canon, so I've no objections there.
You've got me hooked. I wait patiently for the next installment.
